I completely disagree with the part in bold One would expect that any LA professional would be technically proficient, dedicated to their craft, and skilled or they wouldn't still working in LA. Competition is FIERCE and I assume that anyone who is actually making a long-term career as a paid singer there is extremely talented. Its a given. Nothing dismissive in the slightest. However, the alchemy involved in bringing something from technically proficient to transcendent is different, and involves not only the folk in the back, but the leader out front. Think in the difference in live television performances when Lisa (the original keyboardist) was playing for Adam versus Ke$ha. Lisa is a fantastic musician (and IMO probably the best 'classic' player he's had - incredibly skilled pianist). But the difference in the two overall PERFORMANCES had to do with Adam and Ke$ha. There is absolutely no denying Lisa's skills. But she, herself, does not "make" a performance. She can potentially break it by performing badly, but as a supporting person cannot not "make" it. The person who does the final assembly and takes on the ultimate responsibility of bringing all the skilled pieces together to create the holistic whole is the one who "makes" a performance. And in an Adam Lambert performance, that person/leader is Adam Lambert. from a classical music lover perspective: Adam is the conductor of his orchestra. He IS the MAKER of the orchestra. Each member needs to be a master of their particular skill, but conductor is what makes an orchestra performance great or not so much. .. and boy he conducts! he conducts the sound techs, the ear monitors techs, the light people, and of course the musicians...we see that ALL THE TIME! I am sure he conducts many other people behind the scenes as well ... aka #HBIC haha.. Nica, we said the same thing. And yes.. he conducts!! In one of the video from Kimmel concert, I don't remember which one. I think Cuckoo's video. He turned to the VJJ, and gave a hand sign asked them to sing it louder.. and they did.

Sauli's personal blog, May 1, 2012. www.saulikoskinen.net/2012/05/hyvaa-vappua%C2%A0/Happy First of May!Okay, I just decided to look like this in honour of Vappu!!! :D We Finns spent it together in Anaheim. We had so much fun but it will always take a few days to recover from the celebrating. Ha! Now all there is to do is to pull yourself together and get up and about, out of the house and do some jogging! Yay!! NOTES 1. Vappu is a crazy carnival for us (cf Mardi Gras with no gay connotation). All paraphernalia included (costumes, masks, funny hats, kazoos, bon-bons etc.) as well as a lot of bubbly (normally sparkling wine followed by other alcohol-containing drinks). 2. He must mean the eve of Vappu (in Anaheim) which is traditionally the day of celebration for students. Other people have family picnics (be it sun or rain or hail as it is, after all, a festival of "no winter any more"), gather to parks, buy balloons & first ice cream cones of the summer and maybe listen to political speeches on May 1st when the students and other celebrators try to keep up with their hangovers. 3. The "get up, out and jogging" thing at the end is a slogan of a sports enthusiast who was also engaged in marketing a lifestyle with more physical activities.

Adam has a bawdy, sexual, gay sense of humor. What's a "gay sense of humor"? ??? Well, judging by things I have seen there are definite words & jokes used by the gay community that the straight community does not use. The UD is full of them! I don't mean it as derogatory or celebratory. It just is, like any group that has their "in" language and jokes.

I want to quote cassie's post from Pg one but my phone won't let me. Cassie, I agree 100%. I have absolutely NO doubt that Adam is the boss and what we see and hear in performances is 100% his decision. Yes, he collaborates and has expert Glamily members. But he has said he is a control freak. We also know he has a creative vision for every song, way back when they were choosing the songs. I think the green tornado is a perfect example of Adam's vision. mys*&@^#r, I cannot wait what he's going to do for the AI performance now. Maybe he will give us a taste of the NCOE music video ;D
