So often, I don't think it is the GB that is really the topic. It is the hilarity that is associated with us enjoying it. To have its own thread would have the effect of objectification that so many do not want. I want to enjoy our naughtiness right here in short bursts. It really does not come up that often and it is usually when we want to blow off steam. ;D

Some people don't like Adam calling his backup singers the Vajayjays. Which is fine. But considering the word has been used on national TV and on the cover of this national mag (below), it certainly doesn't seem as offensive as, say, the "c" word... I mean, whether everyone disagrees or agrees with what Adam says, I refuse to believe he tries to be intentionally offensive to his fans and audiences. So why are so many Glamberts so easily provoked into reactions like this?: Finally, though I realize I may be tweaking the pearl clutchers again (, it's just too funny not to post!

To change the subject: is anyone here a fan of Rupaul's Drag Race? I thought of Adam last night when goth queen Sharon Needles was announced as the winner. When they interviewed Sharon's mom, she said that her son had always loved dressing up, and that the Halloween costume box at their house got year-round use. Which is almost verbatim what Leila said during an interview on Idol! (Anyone have a link to that interview?) Anyway, here's a pic of Sharon Needles, in case you haven't heard of her.

Any ATopian looking for a topic for a masters or doctoral thesis? Or know someone who is? May I suggest Adamtopia. One could pursue any of a number of themes. The obvious, of course, is the obsession and passion of Adam's fans, and the incredibly wide demographic. But think about the other possibilities:
1. Our public v. private v. anonymous internet selves 2. The culture of an internet forum 3. The revealing nature of discussions by women from 20-80 regarding penises, their state of excitement, their size and shape, their attraction or lack of attraction, and the other parts of Adam's anatomy that women find attractive and arousing. 4. Sociolinguistics: how we say, what we say, what is appropriate, what is offensive, what is acceptable grammar, acceptable topics of discussion and how that varies among members from different countries, different ages, different backgrounds. 5. The hierarchy on a discussion board. Who has the power? How is it used? The individual v. the collective? The freedom of expression v. the desire to arrive at consensus? 6. Establishing and building real life relationships and connections in the virtual world.
And on, and on. Adamtopia is frequently informative, often amusing, sometimes profound, sometimes banal, occasionally offensive, occasionally contentious and argumentative, often remarkably kind and supportive, and for many, an important part of their daily lives. This is a goldmine for research and observation. But, maybe we shouldn't tell anyone that.

Damn, where's the video shoot leaks. C'mon random extras, give us something. Looks up. Ooooooh. Squirrel. Ikr!!! Maybe they had to sign something:((( And I don't think this video is going to be a one day shoot. It took Ray Kay 20 hours, but it was with Adam only. Two days at least for NCOE. ETA Cassie
