I love this place. Just scroll because just strange ramblings follow:  Life has been insane so only able to lurk or do quick drive by and scrolling. Love all the perspectives, sharing, and "family" discussion that goes on. From some of the conversations and comments I just want to say that once part of the Adamtopia family, always part of the family so even if you stop posting or end your membership - we will still think of you, talk about you, and wonder where you are so you might as well stay and see what we are all saying. Adam discussions in any language are still about Adam. Glad to see so many members going to the Queen/Adam shows. They will be EPIC!  and it is MAY! Waiting for album so I don't have to listen to snippets in streaming mode. Adam on Idol!!! Who cares about the results. OK - have to leave. Ditto sister. I love this damn circus. Hilarious most of the time. Learning lab for the human race, Adam in control. Sort of. Sometimes it all feels like a dangerous, thrilling ride, just like his crazy voice. |

Ideally, it would have its own thread (along with other body parts) so that, like fanfic, people who enjoy that topic could indulge to their heart's content. xcuse me... ALL NOSE discussions will stay right here....Truly yours, nica575

From conversations earlier today, there are some posters here (including myself) who aren't enamored of the GB as a topic, so the assumption that it's fair game to everyone isn't universally true. Ideally, it would have its own thread (along with other body parts) so that, like fanfic, people who enjoy that topic could indulge to their heart's content. So often, I don't think it is the GB that is really the topic. It is the hilarity that is associated with us enjoying it. To have its own thread would have the effect of objectification that so many do not want. I want to enjoy our naughtiness right here in short bursts. It really does not come up that often and it is usually when we want to blow off steam.  You nailed it - my thoughts exactly! |

Defend away! I'd never take away his right to say anything he wants as long as no one takes away my right to disagree. I don't think that Adam has to check the pulse of the public on "every little thing" he does, but I don't think using that label for those women in public is a minor thing. It's not a deal breaker for me, but I don't think it's small in its effect. And he doesn't need to take into account anyone else's opinions. But I consider people's opinions here (and out in the real world) on some issues, and if I don't agree with them or find a kernel of merit in them, I disregard. I thought perhaps Adam might do the same. I never thought that he had a closed mind. You are offended. I am not offended. So to whom does Adam cater too and how does he know that someday he won't do something that before wasn't offensive but now it is? It's an ever changing game of political correctness and staying within the lines of what is expected and accepted. ITA |

Adamtopia is frequently informative, often amusing, sometimes profound, sometimes banal, occasionally offensive, occasionally contentious and argumentative, often remarkably kind and supportive. Sounds a lot like life itself, right?  I would not stick around here if Adamtopia weren't all these things, and more. Groupthink and no tolerance for diversity has no appeal for me. |
