Wow -- what a weird thread. Is there a full moon?
<GOOGLE SEARCH>
I just checked --- not until Sunday May 6 --- so no excuse.
---
I can add very little to what has been posted -- except that it will take alot of work to clean up this thread. Please remember that we each have our own opinions and values. It is OK to disagree. But it is not OK to post anything that indicates your opinion reflects the majority opinion or is an accepted fact, etc. unless you can link to a valid survey with a sample size large enough it statistically significant. And you will not find that on most topics referenced in this thread.
This place is fun because we allow it to be free. Respect that freedom and respect the other members.
Thanks!

Here's a novel idea. The girls are on twitter and obviously freely engage with the fans. Why don't those of you who are concerned about the nickname simply ask them how they feel about it? The intent behind the words is much more powerful than the word itself. When we remove all context from around the words we are deliberately sabotaging communication. Bullies often use the excuse that they are only teasing but the difference between teasing and bullying is often not in the words themselves but the intent and context of the words. In dog obedience classes one of the demonstrations that trainers often do involves cussing your dog out using but in the sweetest most saccharine tones. Every one laughs because the dogs reacts with joy and love but then the trainer uses loving words with harsh negative tones and the dogs cringe. People in reality often react the same way. Being from the South I have experienced being dressed down and totally humiliated by people using perfectly acceptable even complimentary words yet delivered with the utmost contempt. It was not the words themselves that hurt me. I have also been with groups of people who use language the is considered derogatory and insulting but the atmosphere and deliverance are of acceptance, love and unity. As Adam is trying to say in Broken English the words are only the "tip of the iceberg" and there is a lot of communication that is not only possible but in some ways much clearer when you look beyond the words. Life is short and I don't want to be offended easily.

why yes! I definitely see the dog totem in our boy. Is he "Year of the Dog"? Also wolf, was thinking about that in the shower this morning. Wolfy - he really supports his "clan" and I love how he collaborates with them as he gains a platform - from Neil to Mom to friends like Terrence, Alisan and Carmit and Lee Cherry. Just love that! And I really liked how he pointed to his rellies at one Q&A and said "Mah Blood". So wolfy. Yes, he is year of the (water) dog (starts Jan. 25, 1982) Ahhh! that explains to me why he said once that a wolf was his spirit animal - and then emphasised "water wolf".

I wish there was a "like" button on posts as Facebook has. Often I want to express appreciation for a post yet it's WAY late in the conversation so I don't reply. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Now THAT would be cool 8-). Yes! I want a LIKE button too.

Haribert-- Late to the party, but I love Sharon Needles and think she will be a FIERCE representative for RuPaul's Drag Race. I was rooting for her from the first (also liked Chad Michaels, Latrice Royale and Willam).

Random thoughts on the topic of the Vajayjays: My first reaction was "OK, they ARE different from the guys on stage, they have the vaginas" ... but then I realized Ashley wasn't included ... and then I wondered if she felt left out? ??? And then I laughed at myself for being so blasé about the name ...
