So, instead of just staring at the kale in the grocery store today, as usual , I decided to buy it. Came back here to learn it is the curly kind. I have no idea what to do with it. Guess I am going to chop some into salad for tonight. Besides juicing (which, sorry, not gonna happen) what do I do with this stuff??? Here are 52 ways to use it - from fooffyschmoofer: www.dailybitesblog.com/2012/02/27/52-ways-to-eat-kale/mmmm.... wonder if there is a Commodity market for kale?

Okay gals, I'm back and starting at the end of Atop. I just want you to know I am sitting here with a cup of fat free cocoa. The cup is black and on the front of the cup is Adam's face with his tongue hanging out (he looks like a little lap dog) and I am loving every moment holding onto my cup. He is one hot male - that is for sure.

I make a kale smoothie and it's really delish! I use 60% fruits (mango, banana, blueberries) and 40% dino kale.. you don't really even taste the kale.. a high powered blender gives the smoothie a very smooth, creamy texture and you get all the fiber too. Can you use frozen fruit if you don't have fresh on hand? I guess you have to add some liquid so it doesn't become a frozen drink? Yes, I revised my post to include amounts.. 1 mango (can be frozen), 1 banana, 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries, 1/4 tsp Ceylon cinnamon, 1 cup water, and about 1/2 bunch dino kale (leaves taken off stem) or more if it's small.. then blend. It tastes good slightly chilled, and the frozen blueberries chills it to just the right temp for me. I keep the ratio 60% fruit to 40% greens.. then you can play with the amounts of the different fruits.

I've never cooked it only eaten it raw. I put it in the blender...a big handful of curly kale and a handful of baby spinach, one apple and one orange and a little apple juice to thin it a bit. It makes a pretty green smoothie. (the fruit improves the taste). It's not as much trouble as using a juicer and I don't mind the pulp/fiber. Do you peel the orange but leave the skin on the apple? I need to go find some juicing recipes since I bought a Vitamix about a month ago but haven't used it yet. : This probably belongs on a different thread but, like Midwifespal said.... #itsadamsfault!! ;D

Hugely important question, hope someone can answer. Apologies in advance that I have no links. Apparently Brian Mansfield posted official soundscan numbers of fye sales (I'm assuming the album) of about 838k or so. But a few months ago didn't RCA put out a press release about something or another which stated that Fye had sold close to 2M worldwide? So... That means that adam's sales outside the us are at least equal to, and likely more than, his sales in the us. Wow!! Can Someone confirm or refute this, please? Gotta run! I think RCA is "rounding up!" If the sales are 1,501,000, they are saying close to 2 million! Edited to remove something already posted by fast Jazzrocks! Ha ha thanks...but I don't think I'm expressing myself very well. I should have said "holy fuck! Adam's international sales are HUGE compared to his US sales!!" and "well damn, I thought he'd sold more in the US." These sales numbers just emphasize, again, Adam's global appeal.

Because their spin count was a good bit more than usual for just starting out putting them way out of line with other stations. Same thing happened a little during WWFM's run as some of the early heavy players backed off a bit to let other stations catch up then gradually increased again. But why do they need to let other stations catch up? I don't really understand radio dynamics.. Thanks for answering! The goal is to get the single as high on the charts as we can. If they are on the same page then the preference if for all of the stations to peak at or near the same time. Doesn't do him any good chart wise if early stations have peaked and are cutting back while the rest are just starting the journey up. While it wouldn't change the overall number of spins for the year, the charts are based on spins for the week so better to go in lock step for the artist at least.

I know people who throw kale into soup (for the nutritional value). In the soup you can't taste how awful it really is to eat. That is all I know about it other than those smoothies.

Like say, sauteed in olive oil or butter, with some garlic or rosemary, and onions.

I'm going to have to GET DOWN ;D and start doing some serious juicing!! ETA: I see your post above mine Juniemoon to eat it like a vegetable....I like sauteed spinach....and putting it in a soup sounds good too. A healthy soup and you can't taste the kale! (Are you sure you can't taste the kale?! Just kidding!
