For everybody who does not live in the UK and is ordering that version just know that it will not count towards the UK sales. In order to keep each country's charts meaningful the sale must be shipped to a UK address and paid for by a UK account. This is the same for all countries. Several of the US ATOPPERS who are going to be IN the UK that first week because of the Queen concerts have offered to by for US peeps and bring the CD's back. These would count since they are purchased in a UK retail location thus have been shipped to that UK retailer then purchased there in the UK.
Q3 can probably explain this better than me. So while these overseas amazon orders boost the album on the Amazon Best Sellers list they won't count for the official UK charts.

OMG what???? They're already shipping CDs? How long will it take to get it? Where is it being shipped from? Can you meet the boat or plane or train or whatever it's being shipped on? omgomgomgomgomgogmogmgogmog it's so CLOSEEEEEEE!!!!!! Between this and the news about streaming on Tuesday, it feels likely we'll hear the album somehow in the next few days. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wait ... what is the news about streaming on Tuesday? I missed that. ... Albums are shipping already?! Wonder when Amazon will ship? You guise ... I am on vacation all next week! With no computer! I deliberately scheduled it so I would be back in plenty of time for the 15th!!!! AFTER ALL THESE MONTHS AM I GOING TO MISS THE BIG REVEAL?! ETA: ame, I pm'd you. Ohhhh noooo!!! I don't know what to tell you. I posted no less than five hundred thousand times (okay, maybe a few times less : that we would have physical CD the Friday before the Tuesday drop at the very least. They ALWAYS stream albums about a week and a half before. Downloads for FYE were available the weekend before too. It still amazed me on Twitter how many people kept counting down to the 15th as if that was first time we'd hear album. ??? ??? Do you have a smartphone? (If not, GET ONE!!!! You will not regret it!) Very likely you will be able to access the download and w/a smartphone, you can access almost anything you can with computer (and more – as your 3 and 4G signals will go places your WiFi access won't). Good luck!! Hate that you might miss the party.

Whoa. Adam looks hot! The woman on the end looks familiar. Yay, if they're streaming the album in Hungary next Tuesday, it gives me even more hope that the CD will be streamed on iTunes here for pre-order, which would mean we'd be able to listen to it here by May 8 as well, which would be great because in my experience unless a CD is streamed on NPR a week out or is a special case, then it doesn't typically stream* until the Sunday or Monday before release date. I read the sales predictions for Carrie's new CD, and she didn't incur a big drop from her 2009 release (of course, she's Carrie Underwood and has a huge fan base and lots of history in the industry and promo opportunities, so that does make a difference), but I noticed that Jack White also had healthy sales of 128K last week, and they both streamed their new CDs on iTunes. I know that Jack White's been around a long time and in other bands and has a following, but it still seemed like a lot to me given his genre and that he's an indie-ish artist. I really think that iTunes must help if the material is good, and makes it so easy to make impulse purchases. And if it streams, Adam can announce that Trespassing's available for listening when he does promo like Chelsea Lately, etc., in advance of the album drop. ETA: *doesn't typically stream in the U.S.--I know we can hear it streaming from other countries before then but most U.S. music buyers won't hear it until it streams here.

I guess I saw the discussions but it didn't sink in. OH WELL I have my whole life to hear the songs. A couple of days won't really make any difference. And I'm not too sure about downloads here anyway: Just think, instead of being depressed about coming back from my vacation, I'll be excited because my CDs and box sex will be waiting for me. I'll think of you all on Tuesday ... But somehow, I don't think all the fun will be over when I get back ...

I know he is very well known and respected among the music elite and the indie-types, but I wouldn't imagine so much mainstream. Especially when The Wanted only sold 34K their first week even with a massive single and tons of airplay cross multiple formats. So you never know. Adam will have a LOT of promo opportunity – much more than Chelsea lately. We should see these talk show slots popping up today and tomorrow for next week and maybe drop week and they will continue through the following weeks. Massive STORM on the horizon ...
