But won't it hurt Adam's sales for it to be leaked and illegally downloaded worldwide more than a week before official release? If you have it already download it illegally, where's the incentive to buy the album? :-/ Just doesn't sound right to me. :( Most of people when they download it illegally will do one of two things - if they like it, they often will buy it, if they don't, they will delete it. Problem is not illegal downloading but illegal copies of album you can buy in Internet or in countries without copyright laws or where copyright laws are less strict.

Has anyone received their ordered Fault magazine? It's taking forever Not me. I emailed and they said mine would be in one of the later "batches". I pre-ordered back in January. :( *waits semi-patiently* (Congrats to the US hockey team for beating Canada. BUT that is just WRONG! )

Was flipping through channels while doing some chores and came across the movie "An Affair to Remember". In one of the scenes, Deborah Kerr and Cary Grant visited his grandma in her beautiful home in Paris. As they were leaving, Deborah told the grandma, "Thank you for allowing me to TRESPASS into your world". Any other time I would not have paid much attention to this, but NOW, it connected.
YES, Adam, thank you for allowing us to TRESPASS into your world. You are a beautiful and brave soul baring your innermost feelings for the world to see. I love you, that is all.

Problem is not illegal downloading but illegal copies of album you can buy in Internet or in countries without copyright laws or where copyright laws are less strict. Piracy in all forms (CDs and digital and tape) is terrible -- and has the potential to destroy the music business BUT.... The main challenge to the music business is how to build a profitable model in the digital era. Artists now make most of their money with performances, licensing and merchandise sale. In the 20's the business was fueled by sheet music sales. In the 50's it was fueled by single sales. In the 70's disco drove album sales. But when all music is available online and streaming all the time -- and that is where we are headed -- who will have the money? The record labels provided promotion, artistic management, manufacturing and distribution. They were the only way to get radio airplay and mass market retail accesses. And they bankrolled the artists. Even now, how would Adam come up with a few million dollars to create and promote this album? In exchange, the labels own the master recordings and a large part of any profits -- a high risk, high reward business. Radio is under assault. The are almost no record stores lefts. Digital sales are controlled by a few players. Everything is in motion and I do not think anyone knows how it will end. Thankfully Adam is a great live performer and can sell tickets to concerts because that is sure to be a major way to make money.

Went to the mailbox early this morning to pick up Friday's mail; and there, in hand-addressed plain gray wrapper, was my FAULT magazine!! It's gorgeous!!! Article is great. Photographs . . . . well, we know they are to die for! BTW, I never got an email saying it was being mailed, or in any 'batch'. Hadn't heard a thing. I thought I was completely off their radar; and was ready to write it off. Instead, FAULT becomes part of my ever-growing "Stunning Adam" memorabilia collection! So, there is still hope for you!
