Oh, and regarding Neil ... he hasn't talked about working much on Twitter lately, but my guess is he's doing freelance production. The things Elisse talked about (craft services) is something a production assistant does. There are a lot of videos and commercials shot in the L.A. area every day that would use PAs for the one- and two-day shoots. I imagine he's doing the catch as catch can to break into the business or keep money coming in while he's working on other stuff. I get the idea that Neil is not working regularly. Maybe he's waiting for Adam to go out on tour. His girlfriend has a job -- sounds like at a hotel or something. |

UGH!! I don't know why the hell they have to keep his schedule so effing secret. And if DMG doesn't have the SAME amount of TV lined up for him that other top RCA releases get, Imma cut a bitch. I do think his TV may be more the week after when he is on the East Coast the entire time with gaps in the radio shows, but holy fuck what are they even thinking if they don't saturate him on TV those weeks? Ellen will be going on hiatus soon. Chelsey Lately will actually repeat a week after the first airing (weird) so he will be on May 10 and then again May 18 (same show). Kimmel is also running repeats on a couple of days during Sweeps. ??? Sucks that Usher got that 5/12 slot (which was the only date Adam could have done it, really). I know the host is at SNL all week prior to the show, I imagine the musical acts have to be there at least Thursday and Friday for rehearsals. Was checking the talk show guest listings and "The View" has TBA on May 15. Dare we even go there?? That is the only opening on any show on 5/15 that I can find but if Adam was booked for that show, why would it be a TBA? My guess is that he will do Chelsea Lately and then no other TV performances before Idol. They will try to build that up as a big event. Lisa Marie Presley is also on the same Idol show as Adam, but her new single and album are targeted to the Triple A and Country markets. And the single was pushed to Triple A and has 4 adds, little airplay. I am interested to see who performs first on this show -- I hope Adam is later in the show for viewers but I want him first so I do not have to watch the whole thing.  I remember something after his last idol performance, that Adam could not appear on tv for like 10 days. Had something to do with his performance contract. Maybe it's the same this time, and as such must wait until June for tv appearances. But June he is in the UK, practicing with Queen. He has a full plate until after the last Queen concert in July. |

If I remember correctly, I believe that SNL was offered to Adam at one point however they wanted to focus on gay jokes which he did not want to do. I have no sources, but I think I remember him saying something to that effect. Can some one explain what is so desirable about SNL as compared to other TV shows? Do they have extra large audience numbers? I mean the show is nowhere close to the level of excellence that they've had "back in the golden days" of Belushi/Radner/co Tried to watch it twice in the past year (cause its been mentioned here to death) and could not believe my own eyes...kinda sad... I am not surprised if they did want to do cheap gay jokes ... they seriously need new writers or new producers or whomever decides on the content... I WANT COLBERT! if we want the "cool college" crowd to pay attention (at least the NE college crowd) - then Colbert is the way to go. They eat up every word the man utters... the Colbert Nation is HUGE! Why is it impossible? He has musical guests from time to time... He even sings with them ;D... I watched SNL last night as I'm a Ely fan.....fell asleep. Woke up to watch a little Rihanna, got pissed. Went to bed. SNL is not on my "must do" list for Adam. He's got so much lined up -- he's got himself out there on all kinds of levels. I'm gonna sit back and just enjoy seeing him more then we've seen him in a couple of years. |
