Is "outta my head" Daughtry's 2nd, or 3rd single? I'm very surprised by its number...my local HAC stations play him all the time. ??? hope his album is doing better than the singles...just curious Outta My head is the second single. No, the singles and album are not doing well. He only gets HAC play and unless you can make it to the top, HAC does not sell singles. I think his album has only sold in the high 300,000s. Quite a drop from 5 million of #1! Poor guy!

"Crawling Back to You" was released to CHR and HAC and "Renegade" was released to Rock. So if you are just counting what has gone to CHR/HAC this would be the second song. Here are his album figures from last weeks chart. 23 117 150 124 DAUGHTRY BREAK THE SPELL 3271 1 3250 433613 At the rate he is selling it will take him almost 5 more months to reach Gold longer if the sales decline more.

Thanks for indulging me, guys! Mys*&@^#r, do you think Cook might have gotten dropped after his performance on Idol? just seems odd to have him on the show if he's no longer associated with the label...of course, pure speculation here.

It was #20 on Billboard Pop, and #2 on Billboard Adult Pop and Billboard Adult Contemporary. IIHY did much better (892K), but I think it was pretty much played on pop radio.

Actually IIHY did better at HAC than CHR believe it or not. It peaked at #16 on Billboard Pop (CHR) but went to #14 on Adult Pop (HAC). It didn't get anywhere on Adult Contemporary (AC).

I'm so happy to hear that IIHY sold that much, cuz I've never heard it on my local radios, they stopped playing WWFM a couple of months ago too. >:( Guess just like Q3 said, CHR spins equal sales! Sending out a prayer to the universe: c'mon! Z100! get onboard! please...

David is still managed by Simon Fuller's company, XIX. That is his Idol connection.

This is a perfect way to point out why Pop is so important. If we use today's chart as an example, #16 on Pop has an audience impression of 39.8 million. #14 on HAC had an AI of 13 million. To use the same # from both charts #20 on Pop has an AI of 27 million, while HAC at #20 is 7.8 million! HUGE difference! This is why Pop sells singles!
