alisanporter Studio time with my fam. 7 minutes ago via Twittelator I love Allison, but I hope it's a different studio I keep seeing this and I've really tried hard to scroll past it and not say anything but I just gotta say this negative attitude towards the people who have consistently and loyally supported Adam is really troubling. Alisan is a very talented vocalist and a great songwriter if I can go by the songs on her CD which I purchased back when it first came out. Adam obviously loves working with her and to me HIS personal and creative happiness is what this entire process should be about. LEAVE CURLY SUE ALONE!!$@$!@$!! lol

Joshua Kadison. He is a great storyteller/songwriter. You might have heard "Jessie," or a couple of my favorites, "Amsterdam," and "Delilah Blue." he does not have the greatest voice(but who does compared to AFL?) if anyone knows where I can get a digital version of the Delilah Blue CD, please let me know. Not on iTunes. I had two CDs but one got damaged when I was sorting stuff for moving, and the other I wore out. Try Amazon they have it. They have alot of albums that are obscure. www.amazon.com/Delilah-Blue-Joshua-Kadison/dp/B000002TZFThanks glamtealady!

Hi mszueI think you got our quotes mixed up...this is mine Oh I get so confused....I liked Scarlett and Lee's work...there are links next to the recording that is linked here...am I making sense...and they are great. The vid I am not so excited about is that Love2Baby one....it is just to repetitious and 'meh' to me......sorry.... And I think Alisan is really talented and does not deserve the constant little put downs she seems to get, for some reason. I guess I need to go find that big couch to hide behind for a while. I should be off working anyway.... :-/ edit: HAHA chunkymonkey.....i like that....

I don't see why this is troubling, no one here is hating on Allison, people are just stating that they don't like her voice in Aftermath.. I personaly hope she isn't on the new album..it doesn't have anything to do with the friendship between her and Adam ,we all have different tastes and opinions and that's what makes Atop a great place, because we can discuss what we like and dislike..I did like her better than Alison I. in the last two GNT shows and would have liked to seen her in the concerts I went to ..with the Canyons

And I don't see anyone talking about not liking Alisan herself. Some of us just don't care for her background vocals on Aftermath. We shouldn't have to pretend we do just because she's a long-time friend of Adam's.

No one has questioned that. But it has NOTHING to do with her songwriting abilities. The few Canyons songs I listened to sound nice but dated. That's just my opinion. I think she is a great singer but her style/genre is totally different from Adam's. Nothing's wrong with that. I hope we can still share our honest opinions about this stuff without being judged for it.

Just a few comments on Alisan Porter. According to her twitter she is now 3 years clean and sober. Adam would have been her friend throughout the worst of her addiction, I am sure. Alisan is in a grateful recovery and states very often how much she loves her new life. I am sure Adam rejoices in her sobriety as well, and will do everything in his power to ensure she remains in recovery. In terms of Aftermath, Adam has stated (sorry can't recall exactly in what interview, there have been so many) that he and his co-writers all brought their struggles to the table. He related to himself in coming out of the closet, and he related to another co-writer overcoming addictions. Referece to Alisan, I'm sure. I guess my point is that Alisan's contribution to Aftermath seem to be hugely symbolic to Adam, and we should respect that. Also, plain to see he just loves that little girl. And they may write some wonderful music, or maybe some that doesn't make the album. But that will all be up to Adam.
