So sad that on this glorious day on so many levels for Adam, NC passed the bill to deny civil rights for the LGBT community. This just breaks my heart and is also scary that this is happening in 2011 ETA oops 2012, hahah

I have to come here to cheer up and read all the glowing reviews. It's depressing to live in N.C. right now. I read the news a little bit ago. Really sucks. We'll get there eventually (I live in VA). Sorry guys I have you beat :-/, I live in AZ. No worries though :D.......I don't care who will not be my friend if I SPEAK OUT ;D I keep hitting "Runnin" on replay so I can envision one very special UK BERT with goosebumps all over and shivers up his spine.............. we have this in common!

My take on this is that this interview (the part with Adam) was done BEFORE he got started on the radio tour. I think that his radio tour memories from FYE era were full of lots of assanine DJ's and fucked up weird shit. I think he ended up having a lot more fun on this go round because for the most part the DJ's were not nearly as idiotic and the fans really touched him. It would be interesting to hear his thoughts post-radio tour. It did seem as though a lot of the douchiness we saw in FYE era was gone or dialed back. I still think he has to walk on eggshells when he does these things. The "gay bff" comment is telling. I'm guessing he feels he has to present himself as unthreatening and accessible. It was evident in the clothes he wore and the answers he gave on-air. Pretty obvious he was being careful and watching his words. And more and more he's dropping hints about the bs that is the behind-the-scenes radio game. I'll bet it's even uglier than we can imagine. Really looking forward to the tell-all autobiography in 25 years. In my dream Adam becomes the HBIC of radio He will have control over getting played...

Go now! Typed version of Rolling Stone article (says it's just a partial but she's working on the rest):kathryn17.tumblr.com/post/22677094036/adam-lambert-rolling-stone-article-may-24thADAM LAMBERT - ROLLING STONE article - May 24th issue: Adam Lambert’s Emotion Rescue The ‘Idol’ star cleans up his act, scores a boyfriend and aims for the charts By Jonah Weiner Adam Lambert’s Hollywood home sits atop a long driveway so steep that you could mistake it for a concrete wall. When Lambert began renting the midcentury modern with stunning city views, he thought the driveway was a pain. “To get up, you’ve got to overshoot it, turn around, come back and then turn in really fast at, like, a 9-degree angle, or else you scrape the whole bottom of your car,” he says. But after photographers caught wind of the American Idol star’s address, Lambert came to appreciate the driveway: “They’re not coming up that thing!” More IDK why... for some reason this article made me sad... the outsider thing...he said it many times in many an interview...but only now I felt it.... the Grammys feeling... the "political" nature of being associated with him... WTF!!!! TRESSPASSING indeed... ADAM WILL WIN! I have no doubt...

Over the past 3+ years I have learned that Adam has some mood swings -- usually his is all lightness and bright when we see him, but occasionally we see the dark side. I think the light and dark sides of TRESPASSING has more truth in it than I care to know. Mood swings is quite a loaded term tho. My reading of him is that he has a strong emotional layer - very necessary for his Art and self-expression. And he has a lot of wisdom around emotions - self-awareness (unless he's drunk of course like most other people). Helluva lot of self-awareness - its one of the things that has drawn me to him. I know few artists with that much awareness. And he knows that the most healthy way to approach emotions is to feel them fully in a contained safe space - not to suppress them like much of the population does in order to play: "bright cheery and Im coping" - that is really unhealthy. Its natural for emotions to flow through likes waves on the shore... The man has so much energy and inspiration and drive and radiates love and those are signs of a person with a healthy emotional flow and someone who comes from a deep source within. So no I dont see him as moody or mood swinging. Mood swingers are often people who have some stuff within they just dont want to look at that rises up from their unconscious and possesses them from time to time. But he has self-esteem challenges (which of course everyone I have seen in the whole world has - he's just more open about it). And I think he has relationship challenges which of course lead to appropriately sad feelings.
