Sorry guys I have you beat :-/, I live in AZ. No worries though :D.......I don't care who will not be my friend if I SPEAK OUT ;D I keep hitting "Runnin" on replay so I can envision one very special UK BERT with goosebumps all over and shivers up his spine.............. we have this in common! The NJ Governor's speech about the ridiculousness of a majority voting on the rights for a minority, should be required viewing for every voter in every state! Closed minds don't hear logic. Sometimes you have to hit them upside the head to get their attention, then maybe .... And I know some really good people in AZ - just wish there were more of them.

At first the 'outsider' comment in the RS interview made me sad, But then I realized that that makes him more fan appealing to me.
And who are these "cool kids" anyway????
ETA: I did not mean anything more in my use of "mood swings" more than Adam has a full spectrum of emotions.

Over the past 3+ years I have learned that Adam has some mood swings -- usually his is all lightness and bright when we see him, but occasionally we see the dark side. I think the light and dark sides of TRESPASSING has more truth in it than I care to know. Mood swings is quite a loaded term tho. My reading of him is that he has a strong emotional layer - very necessary for his Art and self-expression. And he has a lot of wisdom around emotions - self-awareness (unless he's drunk of course like most other people). Helluva lot of self-awareness - its one of the things that has drawn me to him. I know few artists with that much awareness. And he knows that the most healthy way to approach emotions is to feel them fully in a contained safe space - not to suppress them like much of the population does in order to play: "bright cheery and Im coping" - that is really unhealthy. Its natural for emotions to flow through likes waves on the shore... The man has so much energy and inspiration and drive and radiates love and those are signs of a person with a healthy emotional flow and someone who comes from a deep source within. So no I dont see him as moody or mood swinging. Mood swingers are often people who have some stuff within they just dont want to look at that rises up from their unconscious and possesses them from time to time. But he has self-esteem challenges (which of course everyone I have seen in the whole world has - he's just more open about it). And I think he has relationship challenges which of course lead to appropriately sad feelings. I love the way you think and write.

Gah! Just caught up with the threads.... Wanna thank those darling souls who immediately tweeted/PM'd me the download links. Because of you I had a burned CD to blast on my drive to visit my daughter at college. THANKS!! I'm stunned at how much I ADORE Runnin'. The opening reminds me of Bad Things from True Blood....it's the song I can't stop replaying.(Incredibly, I blew it off after listening to the snippet - now there's an example of a snippet not being representative of the full song!). Streaming AO's soundcloud right now....the quality is definitely better....can hardly wait to get my little paws on the actual CD! HAPPY BIRTHDAY Skylar, Misspeech, Christine5850, Jamafanta, and Fightthesleep!! skylar...an extra hug, cuz I know what you're going through with your father. Chin up....stay strong....be good to yourself.

Um, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Usher, I could go on and on.... ETA: And yes, I like the fact that he's an outsider. I have a thing for underdogs. Pink has been one too, until recently with her breathtaking Grammy performance and Funhouse album and tour, where she earned her status the hard way. I think Adam's time will come.

Ok, I admit that I like many of the songs on the album better than NCOE, BUT it does sound really good there with the others too. His vocals shine through and there is an edgy pop sound to it still. We have to really support it so everyone wants to buy the album to get the other gems on it!
Is Howard Cohen trying to make some point with that album by committee comment? Don't a lot of pop songs have many writers and producers? I'd rather he focus on Adam being the Executive Producer cowriting on 12 of 15 songs! Hope he reviews it well, if he is a reviewer...seems he likes it by his tweet, anyway.

The Rolling Stone 4 star rating for Trespassing makes me feel so quietly happy on an otherwise very disappointing day in North Carolina. The passage of an amendment that defines marriage as between a man and a woman effects not only the LBTG community but also domestic partners, and single parents. It was voted down in huge numbers in the metro areas but got heavy support in the rural areas. It can't stand.
OK - enough of being a downer. Back to the party and berting for AFL. Queen/Lambert tickets have arrived!

I wish it was the NJ governor who gave that speech. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has vetoed a marriage equality bill passed by both houses of the legislature! You are probably referring to the Mayor of Newark Cory Booker who blasted Chris Christie's decision.

Howard Cohen @howardcohen #nowplaying #AdamLambert's catchy dance album, Trespassing. 24 songwriters, 13 producers. Back in the day this was called music by committee Howard Cohen @howardcohen Features Writer for The Miami Herald on Pulitzer winning team; pop music critic and American Idol's Idol Watch blogger; health columnist; iPhoneographer. I wonder if he made the same comment about a Rihanna album. At least Adam was in the room working with most of the other writers.
