My friend RadarEcho is supporting Youth Texas First and they had the wonderful idea of the amazon wish list. (yay for great ideas) RadarEcho came to the Phoenix one n ten Brunch this year (used to be spelled 1n10). So many wonderful Adam fans have contributed to the now famous Adam Fan basket (including some from Adamtopia) for the silent auction that occurs at the yearly Brunch. I estimate that Adam Fans have contributed well over $10K to 1n10 through participation in the Brunch, gifting CDs, silent auction donations, donations to the Adam Fan Basket, donations to Outdoors! Camp, and regular $$ donations. As a result of 1n10's increasing visibility (recently 1n10 was featured on CNN) the youth now have a 2600+ sq ft drop in center (just moved from a 900 sq ft old home with barely any air conditioning in over 100 degree heat.) Many of the youth are homeless - they ride the light rail or bus at night until service stops, so the center is a place for a meal and now a shower during the day. I repeat some of this since we have so many new members at Adamtopia. All I can say - "all things Adam" are woven through so much of the spirit of what we (volunteers) are doing to support the one n ten LGBTQ youth for over three years now. Here is a way of introducing Adam's community to Adam. :-) We used the FYE CDs on the tables at the 2011 Brunch. There were tons of people from the Gay community at the brunch who know (or knew) nothing about Adam. So, little by little, wonderful things are happening for the youth and many many seeds are being planted for Adam. I have received Madonna CDS from my friends/colleagues at 1n10 in exchange for the Adam CDs I give to them :-) We are making this fun! (of course, there are serious discussions too) My love and devotion to Adam has been multiplied many many times over by my devotion to the youth. All is connected. RadarEcho said 1n10 better use the Amazon wish list if we want to get any Trespassing CDs for the 1n10 kids and I agree with her (smile). That's really fantastic and interesting to hear the inception of gifting the CDs.. so the CDs don't go to the kids directly, but are used for fundraising purposes? It just occurred to me that if you give them to the kids, how would they listen to a CD without something to play it in? :-/ Let me clarify (glad you asked!) For FYE, there were over 500 CDs that went to the @1n10 youth from Adam's fans. We decided to use 100 of the gifted CDs at the brunch, since it was a whole new audience of people who would appreciate Adam. Since then, I hear so much about Adam from those who took home a CD. (many were gay men). The CDs go to the 1n10 youth first and then the overflow used for other purposes such as the fundraising brunch and the Adam Fan Basket. We also sent some to AIDS related organization. Many youth are homeless but hundreds of others come to @1n10 for friendship and services that are provided. So many more have access to CD players etc. It is the same for YTF, as I understand it. I volunteer for last three years at 1n10 - we have a small team of Adam fans and we march with the kids at Gay Pride, AIDS march, make cookies for holiday - they are the most resilient and awesome kids. And, they love Adam!

I did not cancel my EW subscription but when the time came to renew, I did not. This was well over a year ago, probably closer to two. I was sick of the barbs they throw at Adam....how many times can you put someone in the "miss" space (last page, hit or miss)! EW has not said anything positive about Adam since Idol. The divide in this country scares the hell out of me....it just keeps getting wider and deeper. Hopefully the supreme court will come back with a decision that will take this out of the state's hands. Living in Florida, in the middle of the bible belt, I probably couldn't even find an organization that would be working for Obama.....I miss my Massachusetts home! I lived in Florida for 17 years and it's tough . All according to where you live. Sarasota was really conservative,Delray,Boca , very liberal.I was there when Gore lost the election to Bush. Remember the infamous butterfly ballot,no one knew how to vote.. the ballot was so corrupted.

We need to buy Adam's single in mass.. Come on guys NCOE has to go up on Itunes.. It's a must The problem is i-Tunes doesn't count multiple single sales. Doesn't it count up to a certain number of sales?

I knew that about the certification was for albums shipped but I thought I heard that with Adam, they were gonna be more stringent and go by actual sales. I'm just not excited. Taylor Hicks is certified platinum. :( I guess I don't understand what Taylor Hicks or any other idol or singer has to do with Adam and his numbers? Not arguing, just don't get it. If Adam's FYE is certified *platinum*, I AM EXCITED!!!

A B- isn't a horrible review. Why is everyone freaking out over it? I think after the glowing reviews yesterday including RS's 4 stars, it's just a bit of a let down. Objectively, I think the album is much better than that but it's not a horrible grade. I was expecting worse from EW, TBH, so it really doesn't faze me that much. I'll take RS 4 stars over anything EW, so it's all good. I have my fingers crossed that other important reviews, like Billboard, SPIN, will be along the lines of RS. I'm curious (and nervous) about NYTimes too. The review for FYE was lukewarm but I'm hoping Trespassing will fare better. * fingerscrossed*

Sorry but a B- is not a "negative" review. It's still above average. Anyone recall what they gave FYE? eta: nevermind I found it...they gave FYE a B+ okay...they are idiots Idiots is right. Really interesting though, right? EW was all over Adam and FYE during that era....now he puts out what (so far) most critics and fans think is a superior album and they review it as inferior?? Did Adam spurn someone's advances? Haha! (I agree that we're bound to get some WTF reviews and the big ones like Rolling Stone are way more important....but this IS kinda interesting).
