Jordan. @jordanmeehan I blog about pop/electronica for EQ Music Blog and have a rock music fetish. Get at me: jordan@electroqueer.com London · www.eqmusicblog.com/Jordan. @jordanmeehan Just read the EW review of Trespassing. Give me a fucking break. Let me set things straight in the comments...some bullshit..... Adam follows him. If he doesn't know already, I think he does though, I am sure he will now. This is Jordan's comment JordanEQWed 5/9/12 07:05 PM As a pop blogger, I've reviewed tons of songs and many, many albums but NEVER have I once found it appropriate to stereotype an artist and make snide remarks about their sexuality. The things said in this "review" are so unprofessional it is unbelievable. Whether or not you like the songs on the album is one thing, but to make homophobic remarks like this? Unacceptable. And to make light of the struggle faced by LGBT people is disgusting. A simple makeover can't fix discrimination & inequality.

Never Close Our Eyes www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NxKoqnxCvs&feature=player_embeddedplaying over and over and over again, always using REFRESH. I am amazed at all the little things I notice, all the exquisite runs, Adam's background vocals are yummy, there are layers and layers and layers of sound on this song. It really is a good song, and Adam sounds so fantastic singing it. I've decided that Adam's layering and texturing is his trademark. I listened to FYE yesterday! I hope Trespassing will encourage others to buy that album too. As for Trespassing, I have no words. So much more then I could ever imagine. Yes! I love that layering and texturing. And I have to say, that while the B- rating, which although not bad is lower than I believe it should be, is nullified to me after reading the EW review, the mocking tone of the article does hurt me and makes me want to act. This country is ideologically at war over equal rights; people I love are in the line of fire. I think I will go gift a few more of Adam's album to the young people who need to hear supportive messages that can help balance out these negative ones.

Or maybe my instincts are completely off and Melissa Maerz' review is completely fair and she is not homophobic. It is possible. Then instincts all of us are completely off. And this is America, land of personal freedom...oh, wait.

Jordan. @jordanmeehan Can you please explain to me why you employ unprofessional, homophobic people to review music for you? @ew

Is she one of those that discounts anyone coming off of Idol in order to be cool and side with "true artists" who weren't "guided by the machine"?

I could maybe see your point, skylar, because it does have gay club themes & dance music. However, this last line of her review can not be explained away! By the end, our hero is wailing about fallen Towers of Babel and ripping away his flesh and bone to a ''red river of screams.'' Cheer up, Glammy. It's nothing a little makeup remover can't fix

Or maybe my instincts are completely off and Melissa Maerz' review is completely fair and she is not homophobic. It is possible. What I guess is that she'd say she isn't. I really don't think she thinks "Chokehold" is about safewords, for example. I think she thinks she's very cute and clever to say she does, though. I think she thinks her review is FUNNY and not homophobic at all. I'm SURE she would/will refer to her gay friends if she responds.
