I don't think EW has ever been an Adam supporter. That cover article written about him during Idol wqs an editorial piece speculating whether or not he was gay - it was not an interview. They praised him as a contestant, but basically tried to out him. But as a tabloid, that's not really surprising - they just want to sell magazines and he was the hottest topic at the time. This review is something entirely different. And this was one time reading the comments section was actually fun - their feed is a veritable explosion of outrage! I wonder if they will address this.

Jordan. @jordanmeehan I blog about pop/electronica for EQ Music Blog and have a rock music fetish. Get at me: jordan@electroqueer.com London · www.eqmusicblog.com/Jordan. @jordanmeehan Just read the EW review of Trespassing. Give me a fucking break. Let me set things straight in the comments...some bullshit..... Adam follows him. If he doesn't know already, I think he does though, I am sure he will now. This is Jordan's comment JordanEQWed 5/9/12 07:05 PM As a pop blogger, I've reviewed tons of songs and many, many albums but NEVER have I once found it appropriate to stereotype an artist and make snide remarks about their sexuality. The things said in this "review" are so unprofessional it is unbelievable. Whether or not you like the songs on the album is one thing, but to make homophobic remarks like this? Unacceptable. And to make light of the struggle faced by LGBT people is disgusting. A simple makeover can't fix discrimination & inequality.
;D Really comment to set them straight. I just hope their editors will read all the comments, including Jordan's. I think I'm "in love" with Jordan Meehan now

The only way I can look at the EW review is how it would go over if you replace all the gay comments with comments about being afro american, jewish, or any other group that has been treated like second class citizens. The shit would certainly hit the fan then, so this is no different! SADS!!! :(

I love Jordan's comment ... and as of right now there are 22 pages of comments. Hopefully the editors will read them all. And remember MJ writes for EW, too.

Thank you, mys*&@^#r and lynne, for answering my question. After reading the 2nd half the thread, I understand completely why everyone seemed to "pass me by". My heart is aching for Adam, for his hurt and his struggles. :-( I'm not on Twitter, but now I have a reason to get on: to support Adam!

Couldn't really feel Take Back or its lyrics until right now. Floodgates have opened I know, it sneaks up on you, doesn't it?
