I want to gift several people at work with Trespassing - I was thinking I'd wait until the 15th, then go to Walmart, Target & Bestbuy & buy several copies from each store - thinking then they'll restock! Is this the way to go - help :-/ Go Kapsiz!!!

In his book, he writes a lot about the prejudices he has faced and the struggles he has had in his life, always with sort of a casual honesty that makes the telling all the more real. Lynne, could you tell me the name of Nile's book again? More Atopers than myself might like to read it as well. Thanks, bb! "Le Freak!"

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! It's Back!!!!!!!!! HAHAH!!!!! I probably shouldn't admit this, but as much as I love Adam, I'm not going to be participating in this clicking this time. I have borderline carpel tunnel as it is, and this will make it so much worse. But goodluck to all that are participating!

ETA: oops in case it wasn't clear - junkets, that EW comment was general - I am just having so much trouble wrangling my outrage AND the unfamilar iPad, I consolidated posts! mica, if you're still around, I totally got that. I didn't think your response was a retort to my rather blasé attitude toward the EW review. Just a separate take as shown by the asterisks (see? Youre showing ipad skillz!) As I posted later, I was responding to the letter grade, and hadn't read the review yet. But the review, especially the last line, is very ugly and offensive. I agree with your assessment. This board is new to me and I know how easily things are misconstrued because of limitations inherent in any electronic communication, but your post definitely wasnt. Plus I'm typing on my dang phone, as always! back at ya!

Only my sense, but his following tweets tell much more. Niles said he posts awful things people say about him. He encouraged people to speak on this topic. Who knows what things Niles has been subjected to in terms of racial intolerance? I got that he is encouraging dialogue and action, if one is so moved. Write letters, tweet, be proactive..JMHO as I don't know Niles, but I sure wish I did. In his book, he writes a lot about the prejudices he has faced and the struggles he has had in his life, always with sort of a casual honesty that makes the telling all the more real. To anyone that hasn't read Nile's book, I recommend it highly. He's a wonderful writer and it's a fascinating read. It's called "Le Freak"

Best Buy has free shipping, and Walmart and Target have free shipping if you spend a certain amount I think.. you might want to check. That way you don't deplete store inventory in case they aren't fast restockers.

I tweeted Adam that in 3 hours there were 404 comments in the EW review and that about 400 (seriously, there were only a handful that supported the review) were furious and established well their sentiments. I have read all the comments and posted a few myself. Current tally is 513 comments! In under 5 hours. I commented to EW, sent a FB message to EW, tweeted EW, retweeted others, emailed the EW editor and customer service to cancel my subscription (and told them exactly why!). I've had my subscription for so long I can't remember. Never done this before. Just had enough. After the RS 4-stars, this just pissed me off. Damn her. Ok, I'm done. Sigh. >:( ^^^^^ THIS

Nile 's book Le Freak, is a worthwhile read. He's a been there, done that kind of guy without being jaded or bitter. Very nice conversational tone.
