Was anyone upset with Leno's joke? I thought it was hysterical, and sounds like something even Adam would say as a joke. Got his name out there which is an end result. Keep that name (Adam Lambert) in the news folks!!!

Popjustice Feeds @popjusticefeeds 'News' :: Adam Lambert is not just for The Gays tinyurl.com/7bfhqk6Adam Lambert is not just for The GaysNoted homosexual Adam Lambert doesn’t just want his music to appeal to The Gays. Lambo insists no matter gay, straight or bi, lesbian, transgendered life, he’s got a right track for you on ‘Trespassing’. He told Chelsea Lately: “Yeah, I’m the gay guy that was on American Idol but I’m also the human guy that sings.” “I write from my experience, I write from a first person perspective,” he explained. “But I’m trying to write music that anyone can relate to.” If you are a heterosexual man who wasn’t sure about adding ‘Trespassing’ to your record collection, you can do so without fear of ridicule on May 15.

I don't think EW particularly cares if they offended anyone with that review. They are probably laughing about it. If this was any other publication, I might be more mad, but EW is really light-weight and kind of trashy. They seem to be all about offensive snark and making fun of celebs and I don't think people take this mag very seriously. And I never see the mag anymore. I mean, I would have to go actively looking for it, it doesn't just jump out at you in the grocery store check-out like People or US, even. Unfortunately, EW has a large circulation and it's review counts toward Adam's metacritic score. I don't think it's as insignificant as we would hope and that's just part of what makes this whole situation infuriating.

I'm getting a tongue in cheek feel from this report. But somehow mixed signals. What was the writer's intention i wonder. It seems to be mocking homophobia towards the end but starts off with the irittating "noted homosexual" putting Adam's sexuality back front and centre. In my view, Adam is genuinely so connecting as a person he simply cannot be limited to any label, even if being gay is as much part of his identity as being heterosexual is part of mine. And yet they keep at it, keep at it. Using labels to separate rather than illuminate.
