I don't think anyone should look a #1 in the mouth no matter what the "numbers" are that get him there. It will be the FIRST time an openly gay artist has topped the album charts. It will be historic and ground-breaking and I don't give a flying f#@k what the number of sales is that gets him there or what Brain dead Mansfield has to say about it.  If Adam can top the charts I don't care what the number is or what anyone tries to say to diminish it. ADAM WOULD BE MAKING HISTORY.....AND HE DESERVES IT!!!!!!! |

Agreed. If Adam is #1 next week, I will run down the street screaming and ripping my shirt off like Mia Hamm (in my heart). Moping about the numbers would be like moping because you won the World Cup or the Super Bowl by one point instead of a blowout.  ... ha... I ordered one more... this time the regular - decided that I MUST have the other album jacket ... interesting how many I will end up with... no clue... :-[ |

Brandi Chastain ripped off her shirt when she scored the decisive penalty kick at the 1999 World Cup. Mia Hamm was on that same team though, but her shirt stayed on. It was a great moment though, for all females, just like this #1 would be such a great symbolic moment for all LGBT and of course a huge victory for Adam himself....and how deserved it would be! So...let's just keep our fingers crossed and keep buying. I think AO kicked in that discounted sales offer to ensure what is lining up to be a possible triumph. But the fact that they are doing that is also telling me that it is close and we need to help as best we can. Will probably buy a couple more there tomorrow myself and figure out what I will do with them later. I soooo hope Adam can win this one!!!!!!!!!!! |

Boy Adam has some schedule ,going from gig to gig.. whew.. This is the first time my husband sat and watched Adam on Idol,he can't take the program. He totally loves Adam ,said without him, the show is a washout.
I suddenly feel so calm,I think I was so worried about tonight.Adam ruled.. As far as the judges,i don't remember them ever standing for a guest performer.

People need to get some perspective. We're Adam fans, but these numbers are good. Especially so, since he doesn't have a hit single on the radio, and most of his promo consisted of word of mouth, and mainly gay media over mainstream media. And that's just how it's going to have to sell till get a hit single on the charts, so that this album can have some legs... I just hope that us Adam fans don't start raging on the numbers. We already know that nonfans are going to try and find a way to diminish the numbers, when in fact these numbers are good, all things considered... I just hope that we can rejoice in this, and enjoy, instead of cry about what is... PREACH!! and AMEN!! |
