I wish I still had the article, so I could post the actual top 10, but Walmart was not one of them. Target was #3 at 7%. That is about all I remember though. Is this the article? It looks like the original might be locked on the Billboard site unless you're a subscriber. But here's a reprint: iTunes Remains Largest US Music Seller For Fifth YearIf someone places an online order for a CD at the end of this week, and it ships on Friday or Saturday but isn't scheduled to arrive until the next week, does it still count for this week's sales? It seems that for preorders, the "scheduled to arrive" date is the date that counts, so I wondered if the same applies for all orders. Well I was close. It looks like I had Amazon and Target flip-flopped but I was in the ballpark. Thanks for hunting that down!

Is SoundScan's cutoff time midnight on Sunday or earlier? I'm raising this question because of the Billboard's Award Show. I believe Carrie may be performing and she could mess things up by getting a bump in her sales? I'm hoping the cutoff time is before the show. Quoting myself to see if I can get this question on a current page for an answer.l

While we wait for Chicago.... Interesting article I found on Yahoo. It states that while IQ is important, EQ (emotional intelligence), MQ (moral intelligence) and BQ (body intelligence) are equally, or more important for success. It seems to me that Adam has always had at least the first three: IQ, EQ and MQ, and more recently he has concentrated also on BQ. A 4X gifted guy. finance.yahoo.com/news/intelligence-is-overrated--what-you-really-need-to-succeed.htmlCassie what blows me away about Adam is his EnQ - Energy Quotient. And by that I don't mean his high energy but his ability to communicate through energy. Its something I'm learning through a form of training and there's about one million things to learn in the first level, and Adam is the perfect exemplar of everything we are learning - even the lingo he uses when he talks and the songs he writes mirrors it. Im getting loads of help and Im wondering where the heck is he getting it? Do you think it's intuitive with him and he was born with that ability ? It really is exceptional IMO

iTunes Remains Largest US Music Seller For Fifth Year (from Billboard Magazine, May 3, 2012) Digital sales are here to stay. This is proved by iTunes continuing to grow and holding its place as the largest music seller in the US for the fifth consecutive year. In 2011, iTunes’ market share of music sales rose five percentage points from the previous year, to 38.23 percent. This is more than twice that of Anderson Merchandisers, the company who supplies CDs to Best Buy and Wal-Mart. Within digital sales, iTunes is not only dominant in the single tracks market, but album sales as well. www.entertainmentmanagementonline.com/vnews/display.v/ART/2012/05/09/4fa5899fbc8f5

Q3... 1. Are Amazon and AO sales numbers count as well? 2. If you buy the box set with an LP and a CD are they counted as 2 units? The building charts are just a forecast and do not include Amazon or Play.com which operates AO.com. Amazon and AO.com sales count for the Billboard and RIAA. Regarding the LP CD box sets, I believe that they count as one unit. I will research it tomorrow. only US sales through AO? or also overseas sales?

Well damn, I bought thru Amazon and AO. None of my buys are gonna count for Soundscan. Won't make that mistake again. If he loses that #1 position, it will be partly my fault.
But gonna make up for it Saturday and purchase from itunes.
