Thanks for the info guys! I think I'm confused because I got the impression that HDD uses actual sales numbers and that Amazon doesn't report to them....I didn't realize they built in an estimate for the FINAL building chart. Some media were quoting the 77,000 as the "Soundscan" figure. It will be interesting to see if we get an official Soundscan tally. Thanks again! I'm good now.  |

Just checked iTunes, and Adam is doing well to hang in there; there's, I think, 3 AI albums in the top 15. If he can hold until these start to move down (and, Kris and Haley are slipping, as well). He could be back to a good position.
I'm curious, how much mainstream press has Adam gotten for the #1 on BB? I kind of thought the news would make yahoo and AOL home pages (as well as mention on some other media outlets) Was I expecting too much?

No US Top 40 adds. So next week it is. Right? RIGHT??? Yes -- I will fall over if we do not see a pack of Clear Channel Stations come on board tomorrow. Q102, Z100, WPLZ, and many others have Adam doing major promo concerts. They will add or all the "rules" of radio promos have been suspended. (I do not believe they have been.) Q NOT ONLY, HOPEFULLY Q102, Z100 and WPLZ add next week, they better spin immediately and in prime time hours or you will see fire coming out my head!!!!!!!!!!! |

I don't think we can predict anything by Kris and Haley's i-Tunes placement. The fact that Adam sold 29K on i-Tunes is shocking to me, since he is a hard copy seller.
I have no predictions for next week. I just know it is RCA and DMG's job to get these albums and singles sold now! That means getting him on CHR radio stat!

I was surprised at the final figure too (if this is indeed the final figure). There was a BIG push the last day or two and it seems like "everyone" was gifting & buying more copies. Perhaps this happens with all fandoms & SS figures this in. LOL
What are we thinking about sales for next week? If KA & Haley are predicted to sell 15K - 20K I assume Adam's sales will be appreciably lower since he has been lower on iTunes than they are all week. And with their core fans buying hard copies I can't see him matching their sales this week in that area either. Whaddya think?
Just trying to be prepared.
I know Amazon only accounts for 7% but people say it is a bellwether for the sales. Adam has been a lot higher than Haley and KA. He's currently at #15, KA #55, Haley #33. |
