I do think it is possible that by as early as Maybe they should focus efforts on getting Adam a "feature" spot in a collaboration (worked wonders for Sia). How about Guetta? Is he insanely expensive? Radio it seems has played everything Guetta has released. Guetta or Skrillex would do wonders. The Fonzerelli collabs are proof that Adam's voice is just amazing for that kind of music, I wish he'd do more of it! |

Coming from Idol is probably a contributing factor but I'm not convinced it's the main reason radio is snubbing him. What about all the reality contestants from UK & even CA that radio seems eager to embrace? What about P2?
I agree about a collab but I wonder why that didn't happen when it was talked about before the album release. Remember how excited Adam seemed about the possibility? Then it fell through.
Well I still have some optimism left for this era. Time will tell - to use a tired old cliche.

The Fonzerelli collabs are proof that Adam's voice is just amazing for that kind of music, I wish he'd do more of it! agree... my kids' (glampoon's age and early 20s) are all about Skrillex... which means that the voice is the last thing anyone cares about, its all about synth... what went wrong? the fucking fear by the fuckers at RCA to release Adam music - as we now know from the horse's mouth directly (see the nz interview www.nzherald.co.nz/music/news/article.cfm?c_id=264&objectid=10840264)... ...after screwing around with two impotent singles we finally have the song that can fly, but no video to support it, no TV talk promo lined up (at least we don't know of any yet) and the only thing on the horizon is the PLL... hope there is substantial audience for the show... we need DWTS! The man works as hard as anyone can! The music is amazing !(minus the 2 fucking singles)...The fan base is doing anything they/we can! RCA!!!!! DO YOUR FUCKING JOB!!!! |

Especially if his next single is not basically a carbon copy of Home. It won't be easy to find another Home and they aren't going to have another perfect promo opportunity like the one they had with the use of the song in the most popular event and "moment" of the summer Olympics. Even after being in the Top 10-15 on iTunes for months, P2s song is still getting a pushback from the PDs at CHR. They are holding out as long as possible on playing Home, hoping it will go away. lol |

This is what record labels do- release songs that sound like the previous hit from artists. Radio listeners get used to and expect certain types of songs from the same people. There is a reason that all of Kesha's songs are about partying it up, trashy style and Kelly Clarkson's hits are about hating on men that did her wrong and Taylor Swifts hits are about boys that broke up with her. This pattern is especially true for the first singles off of new albums.

RCA has given Adam a lot of freedom with his two albums, there is a great variation among the songs.The singles not so much freedom. |

Since RCA was "terrified" of Trespassing (as a single) I want it to SMASH EVEN MORE THAN I DID BEFORE!
OMG that would be a delicious revenge! Second of course to the joy of Adam having a huge hit single.

Really disappointed. They can't even get him Jingle Balls----and I know, I know, it's radio and he isn't exactly a radio staple...
But it is still disappointing.
Something has to happen to change the trajectory. I just don't know what.
