Earlier today I posted this in the Numbers thread: It's gone & I can understand why lol. I should have added a to show I was kidding (sort of). And this was BEFORE I read all the posts here today! There is so much I agree with but the only thing I remember at the moment is myspenser's comment that if Idol is the problem, Adam is the least Idol-y one out there. Who the heck knows WHAT the problem is. It's probably all of the above.

gbam Thank you for saying that although bullsfan is saying that is not the interview she was talking about. Again, I don't remember ANY other interview where Adam may have used the phrase "my demo" ...

Thanks gelly but I don't think that's the one I was thinking of---maybe if I have time later I will search around That was the only one video interview he talked about radio stuffs though. Even his body language fit Your description of how he acted when he was talking about it. Meanwhile I am looking forward to reading or watching this other one you promised to fish out.

It is even more strange when her description of how Adam said it fits what happened in this particular interview.

Oh come on, I didn't promise anything. And after spending 20 minutes on YouTube, I seriously have no idea how I would ever find it. I'm 37 but sometimes my brain acts like it's 97. I may have misremembered. It wouldn't be the first time. Geez

I was just curious and at the same time confused since your description of the interview fits exactly what took place here.

Q102 is increasing spins !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who knows, but I think that might possibly be partly Lady R's call-in campaign this weekend That was one of the stations she asked people to target.

1 out of every four songs means that listeners will hear a song by a teen artist every time they are in the car for a 20 minutes stretch. That is not few and far between, it is every time a Pop radio listener runs to the grocery store, target or McDonalds. In the past six months to a year, there has been some type of teen explosion and for some reason it just seems to be getting bigger. I am not under some obligation to use your words, but in no way did I put words in your mouth. I also explained why I referenced the top 20 instead of the top 40. I know what you said, but that doesn't mean I find the top 40 to be significant in a discussion about what type of songs are being played on the bigger stations and during the optimal listening hours. Well, there are to me few and far between still. And I do not see any teen explosion going on since only 1Direction, Cher Lloyd, Rita Ora fit this description. All the other ones have charted on CHR before. Therefore there is room for all kind of artists as the present chart shows. More like a British explosion ( Olly Murs is not a teen) to me which is very hypocritical. Hypocritical because the British radio has turned into the US radio taste maker. Adam is now receiving British AirPlay = his music is fine enough for the American one. Even when you add up all the other teens, there are in the minority on the chart. And your analysis indicates this. There is no way 25% is greater than 75% to me. And even when you insist on using only the top 20 songs, hearing 1 teen song out of every 4 songs played indicates that 1 song to be in the minority as there are 3 adult songs to 1 teen one at that particular point in time they come on the radio. I am neither obligated to use your words as you earlier accused me of putting words in your mouth too, and it is obvious we are talking about different things therefore confirming my earlier conclusion that, our realities are just so very different. We can discuss this for forever and you can just never change my very own reality of things. Thank you
