Well just for the record, Liberals are not immune from homophobic actions and opinions. They can be equally uniformed and clueless as anyone else.
Furthermore, you all realize that Obama only verbally supported marriage equality but politically threw it back onto the states to save his ass in the elections, right? This means that while there are laws in something like 30 states PROHIBITING marriage equality and the only states with marriage equality were those that the COURTS made legal...in Obama's way he threw it right back on the states to VOTE for it. Meaning a no-go. Yes he did other things like stop enforcing DOMA and changing DADT but I'm specifically addressing overall equality.
Granted when it gets to the Supreme Court things might change but it was only a half "brave" thing he did. This is another topic under heated discussion in the LGBT community. MANY feel Obama was willfully ignoring the comm for most of his 4 years only using LGBT people in the end for fund raising.
So you can debate the facts or stay out of it if politics aren't your bag but let's not just put a narrative out that is false. Not saying anyone did this here, just saying it's analogous to the Brad issue. People with a limited experience or none...criticizing other people's well THOUGHT OUT AND COMMON BELIEFS as "ridiculous".
I don't mind that a fan site willfully stays on the periphery of LGBT issues. There's no obligation to dive in the difficult end of the pool just because your stan is gay.
But it's continually insulting and pretty LOL that individuals finger wag in their hetero viewpoint of exactly WHAT homosexuals, trans and gender variant people and their advocates are "permitted" to be insulted by and continually chose to define homophobia by their mainstream cisgender standards. the very "standards" that prevent LGBT people from just peacefully existing in public.

80% of the gay men I know won't watch late night TV because it's entirely "too hetero", Kimmel and the rest of them have ALL had their blatant homophobic "jokes" broadcasted. The other 20% think it's ok to be "in on the joke".

Once the SRS is done the illusion is no longer interesting DUH.

Homophobia isn't a synonym for "hate "or "violence".
Any time a person's sexuality and/or orientation is a target or punchline it's homophobia. When all people finally attain equality in all areas of life and can see same sex couples on Dancing With the Stars or some such other TV crap without getting mocked, we can use OTHER PEOPLE"S definition of homophobia.
