swarm - I printed your post so I can digest it thoroughly. Before I do that I'll just say two things: I'm a strong Obama supporter but his failure to stand up & be counted re marriage equality has been a huge disappointment. Politics before courage to do the right thing. What else is new. And regarding Brad Paisley there is this: By Michael Hulshof-Schmidt Founder / Executive Director at EqualityWorks,NW Portland, Oregon Area Education Management "Singers with such violent lyrics are often outspokenly anti-gay outside of their music as well. Some performers, however, don’t address gay topics in their music but are very homophobic in their words and deeds. Country performers Big & Rich and Brad Paisley often speak out against gay rights. It’s difficult to condemn their music if it isn’t actively homophobic, but I certainly won’t buy anything performed by someone who uses their fame to advocate against my equality." bit.ly/QzcF9O

I have searched and searched and have been unable to locate any comments by Brad Paisley about gay rights.... unlike John Rich who a simple google search revealed plenty.
as for Obama, he publicly stated months ago that he fully supports gay marriage and prior to that he supported civil unions.

Yes she praised Adam. That doesn't mean she didn't AVOID the question "are you a fan [of ADAM}"... when she was profiting at that very time from WWFM charting high. And turned the question about Adam into a statement that she was NOT A FAN OF IDOL. Obviously mileage must vary on the definition of "diss". I think it's possible she heard the question as "are you a fan of Idol" not "are you a fan of Adam Lambert" and given that she has openly and spontaneously praised Adam I'm going to assume she wasn't trying to diss him. I'll take up for Pink here. She has publicly praised Adam. I have never heard or seen her diss him. There is video of her singing WWFM during her last tour and prior to singing it, she said she didn't record it but found someone (Adam) who sang it better than she did. And also prior to the Grammys when Adam performed it acoustically on Ellen's show, Pink retweeted Ellen's tweet regarding the performance and added a comment she thought it was "beautiful."

Where did this one person see or hear that Brad "speaks out against gay rights". Before I believe a random blog writer, I need to see or hear an interview where Brad actually said these types of things. BTW, I really don't know much about Brad or his music and don't really care to know more- but I would like to see links to interviews before I label anyone.

Pink had and continues to have direct financial interest in WWFM success, so I dismiss her praise for WWFM. Has she ever praised ADAM not in relation to her own song? She certainly did not mention Adam's name on the stage... "someone" ????? no name???? Has she ever twitted any support for Adam?

Just cause she didn't say his name her praise for him should be dismissed? She RT Ellen's tweet with a link to Adam's performance with the comment "beautiful." Whether WWFM is her song or not, that's more than most artists have done for him. I was only commenting that Pink has never "dissed" Adam, because she hasn't.

I can't quote the interview but I directly heard her say that Adam sang it way better than she did. She could never hit the notes that he did. Paraphrasing but it was something like that.

So now litmus test for whether some legitimately supports Adam is that they haven't made some public statement of direct support for how "fab" he and his music is? Wow that's a pretty high bar...
Love Pink and here is one reason why (girl has balls to call out the president and loves Indigo girls do you need another reason?):

Wow that's a pretty high bar... v=BkrZyGay65E[/youtube] hahaha! For me - YES! The non-classical music world consists of only one entity . Everyone else is noise. They exists only as a support cast and if they don't support - they are not worthy. That's my cray... ;D ;D ;D P.S. Dr. May's guitar started to make itself in though... the only exception to the above rule so far...

People are different. People in the gay community are all different. One of my husband's friends is gay and I have heard him make fun of of that ice skater Johnny (can't think of his last name). He would probably also find Adam ridiculous. Adam has laughed and called himself ridiculous. I still believe that unless you know someone (as in truly know their character), it is just as damaging and unfair to label him as homophobic.
Also, have to defend Pink. She is not someone who gushes over anyone, but she has said some very complimentary things about Adam.
