Back again. I hope that RCA's reason for releasing the single were not just Idol centered, and if Idol falls through I hope they just don't let it languish on its own. That is a real worry to me now. It will be so heartbreaking to have a third single not do well. But with what happened to first two singles, I fear the worst. RCA said clearly they were waiting on "logistics/Idol" for release. Now it looks like these logistics might not come through, so were does that leave the label support for the single? I want to be excited for Trespassing which I love, but mostly I feel very anxious. This is an Adam song..Trespassing mission statement.. This song is the right song.. It is honest,it is an anthem of great proportions, not just a dance number. IMHO This one will go the distance.

I agree. But a good (or even great) song is not enough. Adam is going to need help. There are a lot of BIG artists ready to drop singles in the next few months. My KISS station is already gushing about Kesha. RCA needs to go all-out on this. Adam has done his part. Now, the label really needs to come through.

I wish I could feel confident and optimistic like most seem to on the news thread, but I just can't. It is not that I don't think Adam is the best, most charismatic, most handsome and kindest singer in the world, because I do. I will continue to support him in every way I can like I have been doing, but my main emotion is worry. I don't want to see another single fail to chart or sell well. What do others see about the prospects of this single that I am missing? He is not a big hit maker, and is in fact less of a hit maker after BTIKM and NCOE. His fans already own the single so itunes won't be high to show radio public support. I am sure RCA tried with BTIKM and NCOE and look what didn't happen. Why do most people feel it will be different with radio now? It is a more interesting song, but what will get it heard?

Radio is going to be an uphill battle. Adam has done what he can. Fans can only do so much. This is all in the hands of the label and management. I an just trying to have faith, because the alternative isn't any fun to think about.

Show business is tough business.. totally competitive and surrounded by shark laden waters. Adam is Internationally famous.. he's no longer in the chorus of a touring company. There will be ups and downs. The fact that Idol considered him as a judge,a three year rookie, from their show is really amazing and gratifying.. Glass Full here. yes I would have loved to see him on TV 2x a week. but it was always a long shot.. Adam ,wanted it this year ,I'm sure because radio has been a bitch. Two years ago Adam didn't want to be a judge. If radio embraces Trespassing, different story. It's a long process.. but I have lots of hope.. Talent is talent, sexy is sexy, gorgeous is gorgeous and Adam Lambert has them all.. He'll be fine

On a day that on the surface was filled with Ups, it ended with mostly downs.
Ups: Adam has a new single, Positive and inspiring words out of Charlotte, NC
Downs: No Adam on the VMAs- dissed again DNC closes with the Brooks & Dunn "Only in America"-sellouts Enrique on Idol. Shout outs to Frank Ocean from Gaga and the gay political activist (jeremy hooper) I follow on twitter.
Ok I will admit I haven't heard a Frank Ocean song I like, but I guess he is considered talented/up and coming. But is he really being celebrated as some kind of "hero"/role model because he talked about being in love with a man once? oh yeah he is a man of color so of course that means something.
I actually communicated with mr hooper about his obvious oversight in promoting or at the very least mentioning Adam. Even though he reports mostly on politics he will discuss pop culture. He was all over Carrie Underwood's support of marriage equality, he links to gay artists and their achievements, and now blahs on about Ocean. To his credit he actually responded to me and said he will keep an eye on Adam.....yeah right, I know I have heard that before. Sick of the lip service Adam gets from so many. When it comes to walking the talk, they all seem to sit down. I often wonder how he feels. I know he is in a much better place than he was four years ago, but considering all the hyperbole he received during and coming off idol it must get to him. This era has to frustrating to him also. He does seem to be wise to the business.
I want Adam to succeed because he is so deserving. I also want the rest of the world to embrace him because of what he represents. He has a message of positivity, LOVE, acceptance, open mindedness, generosity, honesty, etc. So many values that are absent and not promoted in our culture.
It disgusts me that less talented artists who sing about victimhood, degradation of women and trivial/idiotic subjects are so revered.
I am glad this thread exists.

I am afraid that I might get kicked out of the Dark Side for being so negative but here goes. I think a spot on the Fashion Police does Adam more harm than good. It is a frivolous and shallow show. Adam already has a reputation as being too much about fashion in a lot of eyes I would guess. He needs to get gigs that are all about the music and less about silly celebrity.

His image is set, and that's not a bad thing. Most artists don't make the news based on their music, but on their brand.

Kicked out of the Dark side for being negative??? I don't think so! That's why we're here! I don't agree about Fashion Police being harmful but I do think that ONE of the reasons Frank Ocean is embraced by the LGBT community (and others) and Adam is not is because Adam wears makeup. Now that sounds very simplistic doesn't it? But I have seen so much trashing of him and so many jokes based on his makeup that I truly think it makes a difference. Some members of the LGBT community want to fit in with the heterosexual community and Adam is too flamboyant for them. I think this stinks but I do think it's true. And note I said ONE of the reasons - there are others I'm sure. I think Adam realizes that this is a problem with some people but he is too honest & authentic to change who he really is just to get more fans - LGBT & others. He does what the fuck he wants and YAY for him! I haven't been to the News thread today but people on twitter are trying to put a game face on this Idol thing. I haven't tweeted much about it because I am just too pissed off. I can't even begin to say how much. Kudos to them for being able to remain positive. I feel gutted - and I hate the show. HaHaHa
