Your welcome to your opinions,but they are only your opinions IMHO Adam is an international star now and will be iconic in the future. I tend to form a gestalt of his success . As a whole I think in a short amount of time that Adam has done remarkably well ,has achieved world fame ,has put out some really outstanding music.Has a big admiring fan base,has achieved some unimaginable success,especially for a gay artist in America. In Fact he has broken that glass ceiling(Trespassing) IMO not bad for under 4 years . Definitely! They're just my opinions and I don't prognosticate ;D However, I like civil discussion and I'm enjoying this one. Good because I just added some more highlights.. LOL.. off to the eye doctor. ;)here's looking at ya.. |

Am a little worried that Adam's rollout of Trespassing, the single is getting lost in the shuffle. X-tina's "Your Body" is being blasted all over the place. Getting e-mails, advertised on all the music sites. Kesha's new single coming out shortly. She is getting major adverts. Then there is Adam, we have to try and figure out if there are adds, what he doing. Everything with him seems to be a secret. I don't fucking get it!!!!!

I think we have to remove Christina and Kesha from any comparison. Christina's last album flopped hard, but she has been given new life by The Voice. The label is going to push her hard. Very hard. And Kesha is, simply, huge commercially. She is following up an album that was filled with radio hits. Radio loves her, the all-important young demo loves her. She will be everywhere this fall.
Adam is in a completely different situation releasing single #3. He is simply not going to get the promo of a Kesha. But, his song is going to have an official adds date, and RCA seems engaged. I don't think we are going to see much until October/mid-October, probably.
The best scenario, IMO, would be to have the song connect and take-off, which would open up all kinds hard-to-get promo opportunities. So I am really hoping that while we aren't seeing much show up on the calendar yet, RCA is working hard behind the scenes to give the song a fighting chance.

Rhianna, writes nothing, contributes nothing to her songs except sing them. I believe one of the producers talked about her and Jlo and having to coach them thru the process. Yet rhianna gets hit after hit after hit and is exceedingly sucessful. I just don't get it...and probably never will.

OMG.. Kesha again? I HATE THE SOUND OF HER WINING VOICE!!!
I just hope there will be minimum talk about her here, even her name makes me shudder...
re Adam - at the moment I am really on the "dark side", not even sure why... may be too many "secrets" and no visible cohesive promo strategy ...
Yesterday on the SYTYCD they had this little girl with her little girl voice with zero energy ... WHY? it was a low point for the whole show... I really, really do not understand anything about the music business...
