i watched an extended trailer/behind the scenes for upcoming Les Miserables movie. All I could think was "this seemed like a perfect project for Adam and his great voice" Then later I saw a promo for a Vegas like production that was to be on PBS featuring NPH, Cheyenne Jackson, J Hud and others and I wondered if Adam belonged there.
I know Adam says he wants to be a pop star, maybe he needs to rethink that.

I. don't like modern "classical" music. Even Copland I find discordant and can't listen to. I do love some "crossover" music. I love violinist Nigel Kennedy doing Purple Haze. I had a whole CD of Vanessa May doing thing like Sabre Dance on electric violin.
I often wonder what the great classical composers would have done had they been composing today. I think of some of the lighter works of Mozart like the magic flute which was the popular music of his day. I can only imagine the direction of a Mozart, Beethoven or Bach may have taken had they been around in the last 50 years.
On a completely different note. I always have this fantasy that I am sure will never happen - QUEENBERT performing or recording Runnin. The rifs that Brian could do with that and the drumming of Roger along with Adams vocals would be something special

I've just been reading the first and last pages of the news threads this past week as the doom and gloom feeling creeping through the forum was depressing me. Until today I had missed the fact that 3 active members had jumped ship and I wondered what it would take to make me do that.  I hope whatever happens on this forum the positivity will balance out the bad news while still keeping things real. I need to say how much I appreciate those who keeps things light and humorous. Please if you are thinking of leaving just chill a moment and take a break from the forum without actually withdrawing as a member. I know anyone can come back when they feel like it but it seems so much more final when you resign.  |

I read on twitter, that several people left because their posts were deleted. So, some the peeps are more sensitive than others on censorship. They'll be back ...most do at some point.
Peeps need to recognize that some of grieve a little differently..and it may take longer to get over some of the results with Adam's career.
I am still holding out hope he is a mentor. Apparently Iovine hates that job. Adam would be great at it.
Currently, I am not getting the wait to release Trespassing for full blown adds.
Xtina, Pink, Kesha, Rhianna..alll have singles coming out. Now Bruno Mars is debuting a new single on 10/1 from his new album. Heavy traffic for new singles.. So who will win getting the adds and radio play and their songs skyrocketing up the charts.
By the way all the talk about Hannabec and her vids being Tommy centric...She is a Tommy fan, a Kris fan, a Monte fan, and an Adam fan. She is alsoa band fan. Not sure in what order but she supports them all, but Adam is defintely not #1 based on her tweets.

Xtina and 1D already had their add dates. Kesha might as well have, since she is already getting so many early adds.
They are going to let the new Pink song move up slowly on its own for a while, since her debut single is sitting at #1.
Rihanna's single will jump quickly up the charts.
The usual names will be in the top 20 and there will be room for a couple of surprise hits, which are pretty much impossible to predict.

I hope that the label doesn't toss it out there with pll as its only promotion. If they were planning on waiting till pll to do a radio push, why send it to radio early September? Some HAC stations switch to Christmas music as early as Nov 1 so I'm worried that Trespassing will not get a chance to take off if they wait until PLL for an impact date.

It officially has not gone to adds. That is 10/8. Hopefully there will be a lot of activity with smash it or crahit, pump it or lose it, etc. especially the big stations. We have already lost at several stations and they are not playing it because of the lack of voting. It is necessary we establish the stations in our area and work them.
Early adders, a doing their thing, we need to be cognizant of wht that is and play their games. Tht is how Adam wins. He is not Kesha, Bruno or Adele, Rhianna, etc. We need to play their games and not bemoan it all.
