What makes me saddest about how this era is unfolding of late is that the album is so excellent and he worked so hard on it. I am pinning my current hopes on Queen and the UK. Trying to keep it real and not get hopes too high. Will still continue to do my part with radio. I wonder how RCA is feeling about this era? I hope they continue to be supportive. I share your feelings ... very frustrated & depressed about the treatment he gets with radio. He did 17 radio city tour and looked what he got in return from them..Nothing! This album is so current, has great pop songs and deserves to be heard. I continue to vote and request but i must say i'm a bit burned out, more sad to see this chart number goes down, and the single is not selling. I sure hope RCA will continue to support him and not treat him like...Cook & Archie..

I find threads that focus on one specific topic often to be very interesting for a page or two, but eventually they tend to run their course and often die. Sometimes they can be revived or go through a few spurts of activity, but discussion threads need this regular influx of new life or new subjects and the more split up we become, the more this will be a problem, imo. I SO agree with this. I love the rambling, the essays, the topics. If there are things I don't want to read--scroll as usual. I don't want more compartmentalization. This is cozy. I feel exactly the same way.

I am depressed and somewhat surprised by the lack of radio support. I thought RCA had all their ducks in a row for this one. It was my understanding that the powers that be in radio land gave their stamp of approval to this song. On top of that, he did a radio tour where his awesomeness was on display for their listeners, and he preformed at radio concerts. We know that Adam's fans are very devoted and we have been doing our part requesting and voting. What is to be done that hasn't been done. It is such great album it will be a crying sham if it dies a quick death.

Oh geez, I honestly didn't intend for the moon garden thread to create even more confusion or to try and split this place up. Honestly I didn't even know you could create your own thread and I was just looking through the sub-boards to see if there was an existing thread that might suit for the people here who were starting to back out of this thread because people were expressing that the rambly posts weren't what was wanted or wan't the proper use of the "darkside". I hadn't seen that HSM created a new thread for radio talk. I really just posted the first post to see if it would actually work, not thinking anyone would see it and Junie popped in a couple minutes later LOL. So I have no agenda, I may have started it but I don't feel like it's 'mine'. If this place finds its feet and the moon garden thread isn't wanted or needed and dies a natural death I would be completely fine with that. Sorry again to have caused more confusion.

"Re: 5.22.2012" has become a lifeboat with more and more members climbing on as refugees from other threads as those threads become more strictly defined. Gonna borrow from your fabulous (as always) ideas here, junie. The thing is that I feel like we were all put into the sea and told to swim to the lifeboat that holds people you better fit in with...But what if I somewhat match many of the boats but none of them perfectly...I struggle to understand the labels each boat has been given...And then there's the threat of climbing aboard only to be called a mismatch and required to walk the plankagain...And once I find a place I will have to plan where to reswim each time my train of thought changes... But we ALL love Adam!! A man who speaks of not fitting in. And accepting the light and the dark as equals. And being told he doesn't belong. He doesn't understand the need for labels and doesn't fit in a box...We ALL love Adam. Maybe it's not that deep. I find the need for conformity ironic and off-putting. For now I will float by myself on a piece of driftwood, legs dangling in the water, eyes to the Universe, music blasting the greatest music from my headphones, and hoping for quieter seas to come. to ALL!!

jean1010, I think the problem with the radio tour was that Adam's awesomeness was not on display for their listeners in many cases. It was on display for the people in his already established fanbase who showed up for the concerts or won the limited tickets for the meet-and-greets. Adam visited 4 stations in Chicago---but the average radio listener never even knew it. NOTHING was done on -air, and the 2 big CHR stations mentioned nothing on their websites. WTMX FINALLY put a small interview on their site, but way after the fact, and you had to search to find it. My hope was always that while Adam wasn't getting valuable on-air time in many cases, he and his team were meeting the right people behind the scenes and making the right "deals" to set the stage for this album era. I wonder, though, how many actual PD's he got to meet.

~ Nationalglampoon likes Beiber - how can anyone feel hesitant to post with this boy with the cojones the size of Serbia's national debt here? I love you, kiddo! LOL. More like pebbles, I just have no shame when it comes to anything that I enjoy The Brits are the one upside to all this. Adam has Queen, and Britain is playing the hell out of ncoe, the way US would be if they were...I don't know how to finish the sentence as I don't get the problems ncoe is having on US radio. I'm really happy with how NCOE's doing over here so far :D I expected bugger all but it's already making an impact without any promo which is super. Can't wait to see how the promo goes :D BTW I don't think the gay card can be played when WWFM and IIHY did well. Maybe NCOE just isn't clicking with people like it didn't click with a lot of Glamberts.

Ohhh didn't know that. DJs are likely to listen to hateful bigots like that? If so that's bloody sad.
