I still stand by my premature flail over the Olympics. And I am not one to jump the gun. In fact I have never actually written a post with the celebratory smilies before. And yesterday I even wrote that I had contently lowered my expectations of Adam's success with this album.
BUT, I have a feeling on this one. I am completely comfortable taking the bet that Queen will be more than impressed with the results of Adam fronting their band. There is always the chance that the decision to pick British singers will be made before Adam blows these concerts out of the water but, barring that, who would possibly pick another singer to try to do what Adam will have done so brilliantly a few months prior?
If this is about performance quality, it will be Adam. I realize the Olympics is about national pride though, so I may be wrong and I will eat my words if needed. But for now I am full on flailing! Carry on with your discussions while inside I am dancing!

*coughNCOEisGrowingOnMeCough* Dare I admit it? Yes go ahead:-) I have always liked the song, even when I heard it from the Bruno demo. It is just not like the other Trespassing songs which I like as well and better. NCOE is a good song and starting to be OK that the label/Adam picked it for the single even though I would have preferred an Adam penned song personally. My top two favorites right now from the album are Runnin, Shady, and then really all of them. And surprisingly enough, I thought I will scroll over BTIKM when playing the album in succession but haven't...
I know, right? BTIKM sounds so good where it's placed on the album that it makes the right transition. Each day I have new favorites. Yesterday PTL really kicked in along with Chokehold. I never skip the bonus tracks nor Kickin In. I thought I was sick of WWFM until revisions he's made for era 2. It now sounds like it could have come off this album too. He deserves the rave reviews. This is going to be a fun summer and then a tour! Life is good. |

Hi Adamfanem - met you at the Bing. I have been wondering why the three bonus tracks were deemed "bonus". Runnin' and Take Back could have been single hits, only IMO !!!!!! Also I think Nirvana is genius - lyrics are wonderful.  Always love to meet Atopers and that was a fun time and thanks to Willowgarden for letting me be her +1:-) I actually like the bonus tracks the best, just didn't want to say it too loudly. But that is not saying all that much since I love the whole album. I DO think the bonus tracks have even more Adam flavor, or at least as much, as many others on the album. And as many have said before me, the journey from rebel in Trespassing opening song to Nirvana in the closing song is the PERFECT path for struggle then attaining enlightenment. This is why I think the Deluxe version is the most complete body of work and glad it is selling so well. THIS ! |

I keep forgetting to ask why Octavia left? I read a post a day or two ago that mentioned she had said but I missed the why.

Does anyone know if we can expect Trespassing to be sold at the Queen concerts? I personally don't think it would be right for him to perform his own songs at these concerts but it would be great to have the audience members who have newly fallen under his spell be able to buy his album. Did Queens other front men have the opportunity to sell their own stuff?
