I like to believe that the 6 shows Adam and Queen are scheduled for, are actually dress rehearsals for the Olympics closing ceremony-Gotta have it tight for the world stage ya know!  |

I take back everything I was thinking about Adam not getting promo. My mom and dad just called me to tell me that Adam Lambert is in the weekend entertainment section of their local paper.... for an obscure mid-western, blue-collar town of 30,000.  If you can imagine.... the front page of the online paper today features the car ferry running aground in the harbor, a pie throwing contest at a local elementary school,  and a program called "Breakfast on the Farm" which looks to teach visitors about agriculture.  The article on Adam is from the AP interview where he talks about decompressing after the world tour, and having a "normal" life while making Trespassing. It has a pic of the standard Trespassing album cover. |

I would love nothing more than Adam singing with Queen at the Olympics to the whole world! My parents attended the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics open ceremony, and it was one of the most memorable and exciting moments in their lives! (I couldn't make it  )
Watching Adam (on my big screen) up there along with all the greats would be one of my (a Glambert's) most memorable and thrilling moments in life!
I'm aware of a grand occasion like this, is a showcase of host nation's national pride and jewels, Queen's involvement could just be a part of medley, or they could use a well-known British singer. (Of course, no one could do justice to their songs like Adam, but honestly, it's more about the visual and name recognition than the actual singing.)
Against all my rational thoughts, I'm gonna put out a huge prayer to the universe---please let this happen: Adam singing at the Olympics this summer!!! Dream big, why not?!

well i hate to say it ,and i sure hope not ,but it is more likely to be leona lewis ,please remember AFL is almost unheard of in the u.k apart from a small,hardcore bunch of fans I truly believe with the press he seems to be getting in the UK, the #1 album cred here, and now the invite to sing at the Royal Albert Hall is opening doors for him. And by the time the Olympics come around most of the UK - well at least the ones that pay attention to the music scene and as it relates to Queen, will know about Adam and is mega-talent. And I do stand behind that if Queen in fact performs Adam will be the singer! Also goes with my FU rebel post earlier... |

When I heard that Queen was performing during the closing ceremonies, I just naturally assumed Adam would be singing. After 6 shows, Queenbert will be rehearsed and ready. Perhaps I'm assuming too much. The only thing I see hindering this commitment would be scheduling. Hope he's there. OMG!  Unless he us unable to crawl I think he would MAKE his schedule be open... just a guess:-) |

I thought that I had read some interview somewhere where Adam said he couldn't do the Olympics because it was for Brits only. This years theme is British musicians. They may get Paul Rogers. Hopefully not Martel. I saw him on Idol and thought it was really weird. I am late to this conversation, but seeing is Brit Olympics would be doubtful Queen would ask Adam more likely they would do something more like they did for Wembley Freddie tribute and have guest singers for different songs - there are plenty to choose from. George Michael comes to mind, he has sung with them before and isn't currently in jail :-) George Michael will rather perform his own music than doing again tribute thing for Queen. I don't believe in that scenario. IMHO it's about British music, but this does not mean that Adam can't sing with Queen. |
