It's a little early to abandon hope, guys. Let's at least wait until the Adds Day is closed. Who knows what will happen? 8 9 adds (so far) is great! But the end of the day is not going to bring an add from Q102 or Boston. The WPLJ add is an important one though! Very big!!! #1 HAC station in the country!

Just want to say that I don't think the demographics argument is valid. Radio can make any damn song they play appeal to their demographic and they know that! All they have to do is play it every hour! Also, if you looked at the pics from the concerts over the weekend, it was 12-15 year old girls wrapped up in no trespassing tape! (I also think getting into the "Adam's fans are too old" topic is off topic) and from the pics and videos of the weekend shows, not even true!

Sage, I agree with just about everything you have said. I believe there is a problem with his "perceived demographic." Adam mentioned "my demographic" when answering a question about radio politics. SO many DJs, when interviewing him, make their first questions/comments about the fans; from Seacrest to Larry Flick. He is trying everything he can to bring in that CHR valuable younger audience with things like that Fantabuloso concert but it can't be easy. At least where I live AI is just considered so uncool. Yeah...and the problem is so many are offended when this is pointed out. I'm not saying if one is older they shouldn't enjoy Adam or go to his shows. But when age 40+ women are wrapping themselves in caution tape or dressed up like younger fans do for a Gaga concert, that draws attention. And the radio people are looking at that and it also scares off the younger fans from being as visible. They know those women do not have the latest Nicki Minaj song downloaded to their ipod. I don't care what the music sounds like, how much "dance beat" it has to it. They know that demographic is not listening to their station on a regular basis. The older fans are the most visible and drawing the most attention to themselves, thus the younger fans he has are overshadowed and keeping a lower profile cause they don't want to get in the middle of fans the same age as their parents and grandparents. I for one is not offended since this is just an opinion and not a FACT. I am yet to listen to that interview where Adam said his demographic is percieved to be older. I see all the pictures posted on radio websites anytime Adam does meets And greets and I make it a habit for research purposes to also take a look at the other artists, his fanbase is as diverse looking as them And we get proves of this all the time. Only the teen acts like Bieber gets exclusively teen audiences. Meanwhile Adam contrary to what some fans are saying calls himself a Pop artist and identifies his album as a dance/pop album. And Ryan and Larry don't make up the djs. One more thing, can you post the interview where Larry Flick said his demographic is old? Hasn't Stefano gotten almost 15 adds now and his song went for adds just last week. Last I looked he is from AI too. I used him this time around since some have said Rene from Xfactor does not have the same demographic as Adam and even claimed he is of the cool Rythm group even tho his song crashed and burned on that format and he is gotten the bulk of his airplay on Pop

Mys*&@^#r, that's why I said "perceived demographic." Adam has young fans. But there is a perception out there that is real.

Ok, I trying to stay positiv because my rl is stressful enough at the moment, but I love numbers, so I don't want to stay away from this tread. So I want to put a few positiv thoughts into this thread ;D
We have 5 CHR adds so far. They can help Adam to move up on the CHR chart and that can lead to new spinners, right? Even if 4 of them are small stations, their spins count, too. BTIKM had first the small station on HAC and and it moved up into the Top 20. I would be thrilled if that would happen to NCOE on CHR, too.
And NCOE is #39 on HAC on it's add week, that sounds pretty good to me. And has 4 Adds so far.
And do not forget, that Adam has media on his side, look how much great press he got in the last few weeks: great reviews for the album, album goes to #1 and makes history, mv. And critics love his album! His talent is being acknowledged. Yes he said he wants the commercial success, but he also said that he the most important part of his success is to make music and touch people through it, be on stage and entertain people. With a loyal fanbase he can do that, his whole life if he wants to. He does not need radio for that. His talent is so unique plus his great personality and attitude. Isn't that the reason why we are here and are so loyal to him?
For me radio is just a "it would be nice if" thing and I will not worry about it.

It really is a good add day! 10 so far, which is all we asked for. 5 of those are Top 40. It's just the absence of Q and Boston that is putting a damper on it for me.

Mys*&@^#r, that's why I said "perceived demographic." Adam has young fans. But there is a perception out there that is real. Thank you. There is also a joke that many of the 20 somethings Adam fans have on Twitter when they see pictures of older fans who put themselves front and center at these shows. They will tweet "So much SHE." I finally got one to explain it to me. The younger fans don't have a problem with Adam having older fans. They have a problem with the ones who draw so much attention to themselves. Also, when Much Music announced Adam's appearance and put out a call for an audience, they specified no one over the age of 26. If demographic doesn't matter, why put an age limit on the audience?

Well, I wanted 10 CHR. But, WPLJ could be a catalyst on HAC, so I'm happy with that.
