It really is a good add day! 10 so far, which is all we asked for. 5 of those are Top 40. It's just the absence of Q and Boston that is putting a damper on it for me. Good perspective. We did say 10 adds would at least stop us from bitching and the day is not over yet. And, as I said above, the reviews on the vid are so positive. Seems like it will appeal to the kids which might help move the single up and the radio requests

To mé, it does and the name of the game is called 'pretense'. Tell mé, wouldn't it have Been very obvious if they had not played any of his singles or is there any explanation for pretending? I would buy your reasoning if you explain to me how an album that is universally acclaimed with loads of buzz for both it and the artists, debuted at no. 1, posted fairly good nos on Billboard without a radio prescence when other songs need to be spun and spun on radio to even start charting, has raved about Pop songs etc is struggling to get played? Waiting patiently for you to tell me what the problem could be The problem is that radio PDs are sheep. They follow, they do not lead! Unless something unusual happens. Like a single becoming so popular on i-Tunes that they have to play it, ie: Gotye. Sorry, but I do not think Adam's sexuality is keeping him from being added on these big Top 40 stations. If that were the reason, it'd be the smaller towns reluctant to add. If I had a definitive answer, I would give you one. But I do not think it is Adam's sexuality. I still dó not buy this. All the songs that chart that well on iTunes upon release get their exposure elsewhere eg the Biebers on Disney radio for example. Those other big openers have built up enough fanbases over the years and radio most of the time open their new eras spinning their songs every 30mins before going for sales. Others like Rihanna, Usher and co chart on multiple formats from Urban to name it and so get a lot of collective AI even without Pop format. Fun got their break because their song was first used on Glee apart from being on a tv commercial that gave it exposure. What I am saying in essence is that you have to follow radio and dig further to find out how those songs rack up such big sales. Bottom line is; No song sells without exposure as all these have proved. Perhaps the small towns djs are more open minded or they could also be a part of the whole game? See the ones with the power are Z100 and co and not those ones. Hardly does a song go anywhere without big markets supports. Politics is a dirty game and anything goes in politics. How do you know it is not part of the game that the smaller markets should add to create a false picture since they know the whatever song in question they do not want to play wouldn't go anywhere without the bit hitters support in anycase? Like I said anything goes in politics

While I appreciate the adds from HAC and Canada, what I am looking for is Top 40 adds! I believe people were hoping for 10 CHR adds on CHR impact day, not total adds-including those from Canada. I knew in the back of my mind that doing radio shows doesn't mean adds from that station. I have read this too many times with specific examples over at MJs, but I didn't want to say anything because fans were so convinced that radio shows=adds to the station. This hasn't always been true in the past and it isn't true now in Adam's case. :(
