I, personally, think it's going to take success overseas for Adam to get any kind of respect over here on radio. I know this isn't popular to say, but BTIKM and NCOE were not respresentative of Adam's album and if that's all people have heard, then they aren't going to be jumping all over this album. Why,oh why, did they not just take a chance and put out Cuckoo or Trespassing, or Naked Love, or whatever. Any of them would have been better but they are too scared to try. The problem is that the safe way isn't working either. They need to go balls to the wall and let Adam's songs lose. I don't think they have anything to lose at this point. Rant over.

I don't think it's about catching a break. I just had this discussion w another fan only an hour ago.
Blames/excuses of lack of adds, of older fan base, or not a strong fan base just shadows the one reason I believe the resistant of spins. The big "G" IMO
I watched AGT last night, a male dance group came on scantily dressed and suggestive moves, and immediately the two males judges just about puked on the sides. Well isn;t that telling?
Adam has an incredible voice, has a Bruno Mars song, #1 album, decent fan base, then why the blackballing
ok bringing this back to #'s. It seems like the album is nosediving on amazon, the single isn't even in the 100's, will requesting get this song on radio.
Again Q102 played the song last night at 10 PM on the countdown. I'm disgusted w/them. I went to the radio promo and the room was full of tweenies and only two adults. SO stop blaming the old fans for the lack of adding
But since he has had a few TOp 40 stations add him, let's see what spins he gains this week. I'm just as frustrated as some of you.
It seems that UK is accepting him so maybe he will gained hugh status over there.
Is sirius spinning NOCE?

He also did the radio promo for mix philadelphia and that have not spun his song yet. just disappointing
Same goes for WSTW. They are playing Durbin and Kris VOL. WHy no spins for NCOE?
I would like to be a fly on the wall to see how they justify not giving NCOE a chance on the radio

Couldn't agree with you more, but at this point, it is what it is. They chose NCOE as the single and put out the money to make a video for it, just as they did for BTIKM. From Pollo Del Mar's interview with Adam, for Gloss Magazine, the answer Adam gave to the question re: single choice, "it was what radio showed the most interest in." I never took it as a ringing endorsement from radio when I heard the tone in his voice when he said that. All we can do at this point is request. I truly think there are some stations out there that would love to play Adam but their hands are tied by corporate. If none of them wanted to support him, they wouldn't tweet out links to his video and ask for feedback. The question is, what kind of feedback are they getting and from how many people? We have no idea of knowing. I don't think the gay issue is really the issue. If stations had no interest at all, they wouldn't bother to book them for their radio concerts or seek out feedback for the music video. They would just take the easy way out and say "We're not interested." As far as Durbs and KA, they're not getting CHR play. It's been a long haul for TVOL to get as far as it has so far on HAC. And as far as JC Penney, they stood up to the homophobes. The iTunes sales are not helping either. It's been stalled out at #144 in pop today, but WWFM is now up to #103 in pop, up from #116 from just a few hours ago. Go figure. |

Hasn't C HAC dropped a couple of spins for the past two days. I would like to see an increase or at least = spins. Oh well

Ya know I am trying to be real zen about all of this. WWFM was a slow starter, and there were lulls. I still hear WWFM and IIHY on the radio. Maybe we have to be zen about this too.
Fucking radio. All the stars in the universe are on his side except radio.

[grimaces] I.don't.get.it. Really don't. Adam is working his butt off. His management company has pulled out the stops. While I don't pretend to know what's going on behind the scences, I really don't see RCA slacking. The album is getting rave reviews. The video is getting kudos. The print squawkers are behind him (EW notwithstanding). The online squawkers are behind him. Well, really that makes ... how many of us are there on this forum? If the only people passing out kudos were sites like KNIT&PEARL.com maybe I would understand, but that is not the case. I think everyone and I mean everyone, including the fanbase are doing their job and doing it well. It makes no sense to me why radio is not coming along. I find it annoying how the fanbase is played for hits which I assume improves individual radio websites advertising bottom line. It makes me not want to play along but that is self-defeating. GAH!!!! I hate being in a glass half empty mind set. |

It is not like this station is playing these songs 30 times a week during prime hours. Who cares if this small station in Deleware gives TVOL one overnight spin once a week? |

Hey guys, it's a little early for calling the game. Adam has done everything he can, RCA has done all they can. We need to do what we can, too. With all the good stuff happening, I believe that Adam is fighting with everything he has. If he has to go to Europe and Asia to break through, he will do that. I believe he will win, even if he has to end run them. And if they refuse to play his music, it will be very clear to everybody what is going on.
