pls note: C CHR again has decreased spins... ALso noted this has been 3 days in a row...what gives? maybe pick up again w promo? That happened with BTIKM in Canada all the time. One week it lost spin and next week it started increasing again. I don't know why that happens, but I'm not worrying about it at least not for now

://cartermatt.com/18236/american-ido....sica-sanchez-2/ 05/31 2012 'American Idol’ notes: Phillip Phillips, Adam Lambert, and Jessica Sanchez We have quite a bit to talk about yet again in our Thursday morning edition of “American Idol” notes, with the biggest headline at the moment being the return of a coronation song to the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 Adam makes his own debut – This week, Adam Lambert also has a chart accomplishment — new single “Never Close Our Eyes” has entered the top 40 on the Hot AC chart for the first time. Currently, the song is sitting at #38 on the chart, and is gaining enough spins to provide some hope that it will continue to climb in the weeks ahead. This is the second single from “Trespassing” to appear on this chart after “Better Than I Know Myself,” and he is one of many “Idol” stars currently on the rise — Carrie Underwood’s “Good Girl” is near the top 20, and Kris Allen (with “The Vision of Love”) and Haley Reinhart (with “Free”) are hovering around the top 30 of the chart at the moment. Now you tell me there isn't a gay bias. kris Allen and Haley in the Top 30 above Adam. My blood pressure is gonna be off the charts. There is not a gay bias. NAL's song has been out since APRIL 6th! It has taken TVOL three months to get to #30. It's AI is super low for the #30 spot because there are very few stations that are spinning it that are in a Top 20 market. On average, it gets two adds a week. Most of TVOLs spins come from overnight or late evening spins. It hasn't had a single spin or a single add from a CHR station. TVOL has ZERO adds and radio play from Canada. Radio PDs have been much more open to BTIKM and NCOE! NAL is not exactly Adam! Even the industry does not rank them the same and stil mock him for beating Adam. All his recent reviews including the ones he got positive ones with the exception of EW started out by mocking how someone that mediocre could beat out an Adam Lambert, so the industry at large does not expect the type of treatments or awards for him and Adam. I am personally surprised Adam's fans are ranking his talent or expected performance to be on the same level as Adam's. There is definitely a gay biase based on these.

Take Adam out of the picture, and Kris and Haley are still struggling on the radio. Their first singles will probably not chart as high as BTIKM did.
I don't get the "gay bias" unless you just don't believe Kris and Haley's songs should be getting any spins at all. I mean, they are struggling on HAC and aren't even being touched by CHR! How does the fact that they are sitting around #30 on HAC ( which means they are nowhere near being considered hits) demonstrate gay bias? Their songs have been out since March!

You keep posting statements like these, but where are the facts? TVOL and Haley's songs are getting LESS radio attention than BTIKM or NCOE when you look at equal time frame! These two songs are peaking, BTIKM peaked higher on HAC. How does that prove a gay bias?

Q102 added, but not playing much, Boston supposedly have added and not playing much. My big question is what gives? He did their damn concerts, and lesser singers are getting more spins.
I just don't get it.

Actually one of the leaders is a top 40 station in Vancouver that used to spin it as much as 48 times a week is the one decreasing it's spins. I hate stations who add a song only to take it out of rotation. They send out the wrong perception in my opinion apart from messing up its chart run. It is better not to add a song at all if you would treat it this way.

Their labels sent neither of those songs to POP. Personally, I think their rise is comensurate (?) with their talents and I hope I am not being mean. You must have guessed I don't really care for neither of them and I am sure the industry don't see them as a competition for Adam either.

I actually agree with your previous posts where you said you draw your conclusion from following the charts either here, mjs or pulse etc since I basically do the same. Aren't I therefore allowed to have my own thots or perception of things? I bring links here to justify my thots or make references fans are familiar with most of the time and do not just speak in vacuum.
