Weren't we talking about the success of the scissor sisters and Adam in Europe? If you look at Europe alone, I would say Scissor sisters were more successfull due to the UK. (you can compare it yourself: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Lambert_discography, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scissor_Sisters_discography) But even if they would have had less success, wouldn't it be than more difficult to follow up their success with Ta-daa? There are many artists that have just one or two hits. One hit does not make anyone an estabilished artist and does not guaranty anything, especially for the next album, which in the case of the scissor sisters has been released 4 years later. I don't understand what you wanted to proof by mentioning them. About the UK: what you said about radio 1 may be true, but the influence of capital fm is bigger now, than then. 7,2 millions listeners in a country with a population of about 63 millions is great and not much less than radio 1. I'm really positiv about the UK. I brought them up to say that it is not true that the US radio would suddenly want to play a US act that becomes huge abroad. And they were indeed huge at some point since 'I don't feel like dancing' was a huge for them all over the world with the exception of the US and even got them a nomination on the british Grammies version. Yet all this did not make those PDs blink an eye in their direction. You can see all these by yourself if you continue reading their wiki page. I answered the Capital add question myself already. I said they are bigger than they were when they added FYE and hope Adam can garner enough sales and exposure should BBC still refuse to add him. So I was not saying anything different from you on this point. That's what you wrote initially: I was responding to that.

NCOE is NOT a mediocre song. It's a well crafted pop song with a strong hook and beat. I have to wonder if either BTIKM or NCOE had been co-written by adam if the opinion of their weakness would be different. BOTH are fantastic songs. Totally agree. And I thought we are over the angst oh NCOE is a crap single. We heard it from Adam himself. This is what PDs preferred. A full stop. Now, let's focus on requesting and voting on MMTop20 so NCOE gets to #1 tomorrow: www.muchmore.ca/mmtop20/

Well, I'm not in the camp that believes all things work out the way they are suppose to. Adam's career is being controlled by radio here in America and if they don't play his songs, his career is over for what he wants to do which is being a pop star. You have to have radio to be a pop star and sell albums and then get a tour. How else is it going to happen? I do see him doing well overseas, but without radio here in America, he won't do well here. I do think the "gay" plays a role in radio ignoring him but I also think the main problem right now is the songs themselves. BTIKM and NCOE are mediocre songs compared to everything else on his album. Let those songs lose and I think he would be fine. ;D Which songs off of Trespassing do you think would have as much, if not more success than WWFM? Could you please list your top 3 in order of most likely to least likely to accomplish this task?

I think if less time was spent dissecting and more time spent on radio requests and doing surveys, voting in countdowns, Adam might be in better shape. I hate it all, but I do it religiously, and I find myself getting anxious because I wonder for all the hard work, how many are actually doing it, and will it eventually have an impact. How often can you request? I only request about once a week and only on my local station. I don't vote in polls that are meaningless. Stanning an artist shouldn't be hardwork. It should be fun.

He said POP music feels like high Skole all Over again and he felt FYE didn't make the impact it was supposed to make for him in the industry hence why he took control of this record and oversaw everything since he does not want to fizzle out and being seen as a one hit wonder. It is all there in his last rolling stone article and the billboard one since I can't type out everything.

Adam said the industry is like High school and it is, all businesses are high school, regardless of whether it's the music business or something else. politics plays a role in every aspect of our existence. It's a game and Adam wants to play that game and he's doing it brilliantly. I've never once heard Adam say anything remotely close to FYE didn't have the impact he thought it would or that that was why he asked to executive produce this album. IMO you are putting words in Adam's mouth and you are convulting the discussion in an attempt to steer it in the direction you want it to go. Adam already isn't a one-hit wonder because WWFM and IIHY were both top 20 hits on CHR.

Adam has been a success for the last 13 years in one regard or another. He was a working theater actor prior to going on Idol and he booked gigs frequently enough that he was supporting himself that way. He is making it in the music industry. I've never once heard him say a smash hit would change everything for him. Can you post that interview? He did not say he didn't want to play the Queen game because he has his own album. He was saying that he's been listening to the Trespassing songs for so long he might not remember the Queen lyrics and he didn't want to embarrass himself. Luckily he did fantastic with the game and it was fun. He's quick to correct people about the Queen thing because it gets people riled up and he wants to respect and honor Freddie's memory not replace him. Everyone knows the importance of radio gbam. I disagree completely that without radio he will fizzle away. There are PLENTY of artists who never get radio play and they remain successful and popular. Adam is doing everything right, his label is behind him, he's got an international fanbase and if U.S. radio doesn't play him at the same level as they play others it's not the end of things. There's a big world beyond the U.S. borders and interestingly enough, Adam seems very popular there. I'm in the camp that believes that Adam's career will work out exactly the way it is meant to work out for him. Well, I'm not in the camp that believes all things work out the way they are suppose to. I meant the same thing I have Been saying ie the scissors sisters success did not translate into a US acceptance Like some fans are saying. It does not just work out that Way as most of those countries eventually stop supporting you the moment they discover you are not charting in your very own country. Most contries fashion their radio playlists on the American one. This is why I personally want Adam to catch his hit first in the US, and fans should Not say US radio does not matter as he can go abroad to make it and then come back and be accepted here. He just needs US radio. Hope you caught my drift this time.

Since they are interviews Adam gave himself, I do not think I am projecting anything. It is possible tho that your interpretation of those said articles might be different from mine which is fair enough. Unfortunately I don't have links to those articles right now. Maybe someone that does can help or you can google them?
