Following a suggestion by cassie, I did an autotune demo of Adam's voice which she thinks you'll all get a kick out of picosong.com/wfps/Included not-autotuned versions too. You can hear how the autotune just doesn't know what to do with all the little nuances Adam puts in there while singing, like little grace notes, vibrato, the short runs, and the switches up into head voice. All the singers who really rely on it have to sing without any of these nuances, kind of robotic like, for the autotune to work, but they really bring the melodies to life as Adam always shows so masterfully! Oh and fun fact, I had to set the autotune level to "heavy" before I even got a result! And these were just spur of the moment acapellas! I just love this! I don't know how these machines work, but are you saying in the bolded part that when you first ran the autotune it couldn't find anything to fix? You had to dial it up to make it very picky of the slightest variation of pitch? Amazing!

As for my comment on the sound guy...
Well, he is one of the two main DJs and he actually saw it happen and overhead it. He's a big supporter of Adam and DC glamberts so don't think he'd intentionally exagerate. He was drunk but not at the time it happened. I don't think he would have told me if he hadn't been drunk later though. lol.
I didn't think the had a sound guy traveling with him but a friend of mine @merrycello said he did after telling her about this. Whoever it was really pissed off Adam though! Thanks for sharing. Sounds legit to me. Well, it does make sense that Adam would have his own sound guy for a series of concerts like he just did. And since that was the last show, and he's had issues before last night, a perfect time to can his ass. For someone like Adam who is such a perfectionist, it must be maddening to know that his audience isn't hearing the best from him. It's one thing to fuck up a bit here and there-- mistakes happen. But to make it so that Adam completely messes up an entire song-- unforgivable. What I can't believe is that we are such bad ninjas that we haven't ID'd the sound guy and been able to see him in all of the sound check and show vids. It I had to guess, I would say that he does (did?) have his own sound person. And to dispell yet another rumor - when I talked to Tommy McFly last night he said he loved the show but was disappointed that Adam didn't do an encore. So for everyone who says that the times for the headliner in the radio show are "fixed" and can't be extended, I call the BS flag, LOL. However, I don't think he would have had another song to perform that they'd all rehearsed before.

The first time I ran it through and listened I had to do it again to make sure I hadn't forgotten to hit the OK button

NoAngel what happened with IIHY? DM is fine I was just watching the livestream, and I'm sure it's been discussed in detail in the concert thread, but basically Adam couldn't hear himself properly and he messed up his key and as a result lost some lyrics. In the grand scheme of things, I don't think it is any kind of big deal. And I don't really think the audience noticed it as much as hardcore stans did. But still, I'm sure Adam was pretty annoyed. By the next song, everything was brilliant again

NoAngel @noangelpf RT @aliceradio: Pre #Summerthing @adamlambert fix. Pix from our friends @965tic 965tic.cbslocal.com/tag/spring-fling/SPRING FLING: ADAM LAMBERT ON HIS MUSIC – “IT’S FEEL GOOD.” Gina J. caught up with Adam Lambert backstage at Spring Fling, and he talked all about “Trespassing,” the wildly varying ages of his fans and more… listen to the full interview now! 965tic.cbslocal.com/2012/05/28/adam-lambert-on-his-music-its-feel-good/To say Adam Lambert’s fans love him is a bit of an understatement. With a huge following, both live and online, Glam Nation has just gotten bigger and bigger, and also more varied– Lambert’s fans range from little kids to grandmothers, and that’s one of the coolest parts about being a rock star for the American Idol vet. “The fanbase is kind of a family affair. We keep seeing these three generations, grandmas, moms and daughters… it’s cool. I think everybody can relate to this stuff. It’s feel good.”

I don't know about the live stream, but the recorded video from this morning's show is available to watch. I have added this to the calendar, thanks. BTW, if you look at the calendar, only the title shows on the date. Click on the title for more details, like the show link.

By the next song, everything was brilliant again Honestly it wasn't a really big thing. Shit happens, and it was pretty much a hot mess. Thank goodness for the divas and Brian because they carried the song. He was communicating with the sound folks and stopping and starting singing thru the song, but was laughing and seemed to be having as much fun with is as the situation allowed. You could tell he was frustrated, but then when they made the jokes about the 6 different keys after the song it was hilarious. He's a pro and handled the whole thing very well. Even if he was really mad, the casual observer wouldn't have suspected a thing.

Just went through the concert thread to find out more, and there was something about this also. Adam is such a sport, with all the weather conditions (heat and humidity), all kinds of sound problems etc. and he still goes on and performs. Just love him for that.
