Okay last post and then I've got to get ready for work. I understand if some people feel that the video could have had more amazing effects, more dancing, more etc. But seriously, take any 5 random videos from the VH1 Top 20 and you'll quickly see that most MVs are pretty dull and uninspired. Unless you've got Gaga amounts of cash, of course, in which case you get to make freakishly expensive videos that are more WTF than anything else. Adam gets huge credit from me for always thinking outside the box and being so creative with his videos. And I love him even more for making videos that reflect some aspect of his personality. In this case, the power of positivity to make change and to break free. Pretty awesome, I think. 100% agree. His imagination and execution of his ideas amaze me.

Adam Lambert UK @lambertuk Watch: Adam Lambert Debuts Latest Music Video For ‘Never Close Our Eyes’ - PINK is the new BLOG - dlvr.it/1djmsR.. Never Close Our Eyes is signature Lambert. The dance-rock theme is catchy and both equal parts lyrical and rock star. I really like this video too… the theme of the futuristic medical facility is fun and quirky. Adam is brilliant in videos because he is such a great performer and the camera just LOVES him. Check it out, what do you think of Adam’s second single and music video?

LOL so true! For someone like me who loves to analyze things to death, that was a bit deflating But no worries, art is about everyone finding their own meaning in it. :D Anyway, what I'm wondering about is why Adam is different from the others in the NCOE video and why did he have the power to change things? Was he a newcomer? A mutant? Or maybe he just had an epiphany and realized the power that was inside of him all the time? I think the last one is the theory I'm going with.
heheh... yeah, an epiphany in a puff of blue smoke. Open to several interpretations... I prefer to think it's an homage to Burning Man.
But... pomegranate? ;DOk maybe some of us overanalyze. But are you telling me that the puff of blue smoke is not the spiritual rebirth of the pomegranate his shadow side attempted to destroy in BTIKM? And is it not obvious to everyone that this video is Adam's stand against both the genetic engineering industry and the pharmaceutical industry, and their toxic effects on and overmedication of the US people.

www.theinsider.com/music/52642_Adam_Lambert_Never_Close_Our_Eyes_Music_Video/index.html#.T8TPC-pzQbT.twitterLAMBERT'S HUNGER GAMES HOMAGE?By Jarett Wieselman @jarettsays May 29, 2012 Fresh off becoming the first out artist to top the Billboard Top 200 chart with his sophomore release, Trespassing, Adam Lambert is serving up a music video for the disc's greatest track. Never Close Our Eyes, an anthemic summer sensation, scored a future-set music video that looks to take a page right out of The Hunger Games. Specifically the third book, Mockingjay. (Linked to video) LOL called this when we saw the first still picture. However, I don't specifically recall the 3rd. book. Anyone know what they are referring to within the book?

Sometimes a pomegranate is just a pomegranate. And sometimes blue smoke is just blue smoke. But in this case, this is a freedom-themed video, and no matter what Adam says, that blue smoke is not just there cause "it is cool".

Yes!! Yes!!! And to top it off, it's a subversive message to legalize cannabis. I'm surprised more people didn't get that!!
And yes, people, I did say I thought parts of it are cheesy. I do. But hey, this is Adam we're talking about, so obviously I'm referencing brie and not cheez whiz. Okay? ;D
