Would they say someone like Freddie Mercury was "stagey"? He was the ULTIMATE camp man I mean com======================================e on. Bowie? Gaga? But no...Adam is the one pretending to be something. LOL. It just makes me laugh. I read the Rolling Stone review and promptly forgot about it. I haven't read the Britney review, but I saw that it had four starrs. IMO, all their credibility went out the window. I have only heard part of Britney's new album but the part I heard was quite good. Not defending RS for their rock cred snobbery but that is their issue not Britney's. ETA: didilynn -- ITA hate the "playacting" critique -- but 3 stars from RS is better than 2-1/2.

On the Rolling Stone review -- 1. A 3 from RS is good -- they are harsh critics. According to Metacritic: For 2,740 reviews, Rolling Stone has graded: * 34% higher than the average critic * 3% same as the average critic * 63% lower than the average critic 2. RS was not a fan of Bowie or Freddy in the 70's and 80's -- only in the rear view mirror. Yeah and they put SNOOKI on the cover so clearly they have STANDARDS.

Rolling Stone Magazine has a short review of the Glamnation DVD. They gave it 3 out of 5 stars. The review is on page 68. Did not see a mention of this in the thread but someone could have posted a link earlier. Anyway, here are some excerpts: Moving at a frantic pace that befits its subject, this 67 minute CD-DVD set captures Lambert on his first solo tour, showing off his sometimes uneasy, often triumphant hybrid of glam rock, Broadway, and dance pop....... Barefoot and overdressed, this Mad Hatter changes costumes often while guitarist Monte Pitman shreds........ He often comes across like an actor playing a rocker rather than the real thing, but Lambert's charisma and considerable chops compensate for his lingering staginess. First mention of Adam in Rolling Stone for over a year, I believe. That's not so good. RS doesn't seem to give Adam a break. they are always quite harsh. Whatever....his fans love it. A 3 is good.

Whatever....his fans love it. A 3 is good. They gave Kesha's new album a 4. Clearly they are being run by a 13 yr old girl. I wouldn't be surprised if they gave that Friday song a 4 too. lol. EH WHATEVER. Some of the best loved acts and legends started off to terrible reviews. So this isn't anything really. And who cares it's one dude's opinion anyways.

Q3 - So glad you're back! Am wondering about your take on the radio release of Aftermath remix. Do you expect much RCA support? What kind of sales will make it considered a success?
Also, what was considered the break even/successful sales number for Acoustic Live?
Am listening to the concert CD right now and wish everyone in the world could hear it!

As far as the playacting comment, if they mean that stage Adam is not everyday RL Adam, then even Adam would agree with that. It's glam rock, RS, It's supposed to be over the top. It's supposed to be fun and playful. Well, ladies , at least even RS thinks he wears too many clothes. Strip, Adam, Strip.

Listening on AO official since I do not receive my tour pack until Wednesday and Amazon says the CD/DVD will not ship until Monday. Have some pretty awesome speakers for the computer. Love it. It is amazing and so I decided I better order a spare tour pack because I might actually wear the T-Shirt and I want a cd for the car, one for the cd player, and one for the shrine. I never thought of myself as a BSC fan but I think I am getting there.
