Backlash, schmacklash. Who cares if some disgruntled Freddie fans jump on Twitter and bash Adam? Or a few Brits get their knickers in a twist? Their grumbling is not going to affect Adam at all. But the millions of people who would see him and say, "Wow! That guy can really sing!" can add sales and put Trespassing back on top of the charts. You have to weigh the positive with the negative, and in my opinion, the negative is helium compared to the positive.
I'm not getting my hopes up too high, but I think it would be a wonderful thing to happen for Adam.
Not only that but there has never been a requirement that only people from one country can join together to for a band. A lot of "British" bands have "Irish" members etc. and by the way doesn't anyone remember that even Freddie wasn't originally British as he was born and raised in Zanzibar went to boarding school in India (?) and didn't become British until they moved to England in his late teens I think. You are right , Freddie wasn't British  He was Parsi born in Zanzibar , and his real name was "Farrokh Bulsara" . So , IT COULD STILL HAPPEN . KEEP YOUR HOPES UP !!! And , if it doesn't happen , well , it's ok . It's not like Adam isn't going to do a bunch of gigs w/Queen this summer  |

Re the closing of the Olympics -- is there a list anywhere of who is signed on for the closing ceremonies so far. It would be interesting to see if everyone is British. I see Queen doing We Are the Champions with a medley of British singers -- probably after the individual singers have a spot of their own. We all know Britain has a wealth of talent and it definately is their moment to shine as one nation.
There are Americans and performers from other countries performing at the Olympics. What's in question is the closing ceremonies where only British Bands and singers have been invited. The theme this year is British Musicians throughout the years. Influential British singers and bands have been invited. Queen is a British band but if they ask Adam to lead he will be an American with a British band. Paul Rogers is British. Marc Martel is British (though he'd be highly unlikely) I agree that other fanbases tweet radio like the Beebs fans etc. But you don't see other fanbases tweeting radio stations (except Idol fans) who have pics of older women or the word mom or auntie or grannie in their twitter name. That's not the radio's demographic. I think that hurts more than tweeting the station. Radio stations target teens, tweens and 20 somethings. |

This has been posted already - and once again I wonder what it is about. I don't see anything on the image that might be lolworthy. Can you possibly enlighten me as to where I should be looking at?
LMAO!!!! Did they do that on purpose??????? Look at the pic Adam. Look under it. You see his name "Adam". Look at the next pic and look at the name under it "Lamb" look at the last pic look at the name under "Bert". Now all together!! What does it spell?????? Adam Lambert!! ;D |
