My youngest rescue dog is a little skeered (he had a baaaaad life before he came to live with us) but he likes people now...so he has this little 'errmh errmh errmh" whine/whimper/grunt noise he makes whenever he sees someone new. I am terribly terribly afraid that if I ever ran into Adam in RL I would follow him through the airport making exactly the same sound. Also possibly my tail would be wagging.

[wanders in yawning, wearing a grass skirt, and carrying the lolly bucket] [starts handing out karmic cream lollies] [shakes bucket until a batch of lemoncello-n-kalula swirl lollies appear as well] It totally ok to have angst and doubts. [grins] Tho' most numbers angsting should really go on the Numbers thread. There's a much higher level of venting there then what's usually encouraged on the main theads. The main News thread generally aims to be a bit more "glittery and golden", particularly when there truly is so much wonderful stuff happening. Baby steps. [laughs] Although this baby is definitely starting to run ;D. With some work, the rest of the barriers will fall away too. [wistles as wanders back to other thread, carrying sharpened lolly]
Sigh. Okay, now I'm just confused on what, when, where, how to express my thoughts and feelings. Just can't seem to get it right.
[walks on eggshells away from computer...].

I've been feeling an Adam-high since watching him sing Queen songs today, and all the posts about how Adam's greatness will overcome are really uplifting. But it dawns on me, when I am depressed, it is never because I am doubting Adam's abilities. Instead, I only have doubt about our crappy society recognizing his greatness. So really, for me, my moods are more about being depressed about the state of society, than anything.
So I guess my message to rjackspf is that things are evolving. Think about how he is getting so much more respect. Think about how he not getting asked about eyeliner and Simon Cowell but about Pharell and Queen. Think about this #1milestone and how we can cross that off societies to do list. Remember the great Canadian interviews. Think about the AMAs tweets and his GMA appearance. Think about how Adam's fan base didn't fall off while he was out of the public ey but it grew and continues to grow in leaps in bounds. The world is a better place now than it was, and will continue to be. The more visibility Adam gets the more the negative views will be replaced with awe and respect. It's happening. Not as fast as it should but it is happening!

I think Adam's new music video pretty much sums it. OT... our government is for sale to the highest bidder, aka persons with the most money... thank you Supreme Court... not. Mods can delete if need to...

RjacksPF, sorry today was your day to get the patented pushback. I think my favorite was yesterday's response to the effect that "some may indulge in angst and wank and that is OK." Wow. Thanks! ??? momtomany, you are amazing. I would love to respond to some of the things you said but it seems too late in the day and I can't face waking up to being misunderstood, so let me just say . You are my hero! I would say, given Adam's bio change on Twitter to request NCOE, that the angst and wank has infiltrated RCA and Adam Lambert. Not unlike his post "BTIKM is dropping, Request!" You can believe that we are not the only ones seeing the numbers (or lack of) and it hasn't gone unnoticed by FOO. One thing I'm thinking is his big coup was announced last Thursday and does take some time for the public to actually go listen and buy, perhaps. And the Idol finale came into play and the winner pushing almost 300K of the coronation song. Radio? I'm prepared to consider Adam Lambert may just have to work his ass off touring as an album seller and not radio artist, which, I don't think is his real goal long term. I'd like to be wrong, but he's going to have a tough year or two ahead regardless.

Well, I guess it's my fault the new day is a "light side" only.
No clue my post was so bad.
Think I'll have to be gone for a while.
Sorry and best to all.

Thanks for the responses. I find it hard to express my feelings at those times when they are not as positive as usual as it seems, unless I'm misunderstanding, that some don't really like those kinds of comments. Some days are just hard and the media crap or numbers get to me. I'm just looking for support. I do love and appreciate the positive feedback, attempts to cheer me up, and reminders of what's important. I love Adam so much and my belief in him does not waver. But, I'm human and get scared sometimes. I also feel some push back on expressing these feelings, which is a little hard when I'm feeling bad. I don't do this often and will have to think before I post next time.
Again, thanks for the dialogue. Oh. You think. So do I. All of us. Look at the conversation, the communication you began. I cannot begin to explain how I dream, live, worry, expect, foresee, angst, exclaim, cry, cringe . . . and then he takes the stage . . . and I go fucking nuts and dance till I'm left only to gasp. Here I am - at the computer - instead of in front of the TV or sewing machine - the way it used to be. Things are very different since I heard his voice. I worry about many things, just like you. But, the ONE thing I don't worry about is Adam's success. It may not be coming in the way I might imagine, but it will come, because excellence will not be denied. And Adam is not just 'excellent'. Back when I used to sing, I performed and if I was really 'excellent' I was elevated to 'command performance' status. I learned that there is always a 'bar' for beyond. Adam is creating a new 'bar'; I really feel his excellence is restructuring not only our societal barriers but our long-standing musical barriers and judgements, as well. Boy - isn't it about time? Momtomany thank you so much for your eloquence and beauty in the way you express your love for Adam. Reading it brings me joy and always hits me in the heart

Someone asked him to name 3 things he must have in his wardrobe. He answered Great boots, a good black suit, and one pair of too expensive sunglasses. It cracks me up that he is weraing his "good black suit" with his 10 year old green print shirt! ILHSFM!!!!!!!
