Well, I guess it's my fault the new day is a "light side" only.
No clue my post was so bad.
Think I'll have to be gone for a while.
Sorry and best to all. I'd like to go on record saying that I think the dark side belongs in our discussions just as much as the light. That was the goal of Adam's new album to--to express the doubt he feels underneath. I would rather ride my highs and see only the glitter but that's not being real. I know I am out of place saying all this but it is not like me to suppress things. Sorry. ETA And I posted this before seeing the ban on the dark side on the new thread... Exactly. Separate threads once was a novelty; twice is unsettling to me. It seems so anti-Adam since he spoke about the importance of integrating both the dark and the light sides. I feel like I'm being offered little white and blue pills with a "light side only" thread.  to RjacksPF and juniemoon and anyone else who may feel a little roughed up for expressing what others perceive as "negative" thoughts. |

Adam is RADIATING joy right now. Media is mostly loving him; fans, friends, family, and "sippa" ADORE him and . . . his album debuted at number 1! And he has a great new mv out! And he is gonna go sing with Queen! And he's gonna come back to tour and promote a critically acclaimed album!
I think odds are pretty good that Adam has an AMAZING year or two ahead of him - unless self-expression and creativity and "money, fame, and fortune" and world travel and LOVE aren't too important to him.
Neither Adam nor his album promote myopically focusing on the negative. There's "real" and there's perspective.

There's "real" and there's perspective. LOL. Adam did say TRESPASSING comes with a light and a dark side. 8-) However... I believe Adam chooses to pursue the positives in life. He radiates light and would, IMO, love for his fans to share the joy of his new creation. Granted that there are and will be ups and downs, it's life afterall, yet I do believe he would rather see his fans 'shake their booties' and carry that joy with them. Happiness is infectious and what we project into the universe is often what we get in return. Hence, his infinity tatt. Adam/label/management do have long term goals for TRESPASSING. Just like us, IMO, they are eager to see how things will evolve. The gig with Queen puts things in an interesting and uncharted territory. It's a wait-and-see game that I know they will play with confidence and conviction. All good, really ... |

I'm just curious how relevant (sp) radio really is to most people in the "pop" demographic. Isn't this the generation that was raised on the internet? For that matter, who listens to the radio anyways. Don't we all go to our I-pods or to our streams or to YT for most of everything we need? Hell, when I miss a TV show, I know I can replay it somewhere on the internet. So, someone who is radio wise, please let me know why radio play is the ultimate measure of an artist's success. I look at it as ONE measure and maybe if you're in the radio business you want it to be the ONLY measure but I wonder if it realy is. That being said, I've rearranged my mediabase forms and am ready to commit to another round of daily radio requests!

That being said, I've rearranged my mediabase forms and am ready to commit to another round of daily radio requests! To put it simply, radio play is sort of like promo, a commercial, so to speak. It can reach a general mass that might otherwise have no clue about a song being out there. The more 'visible' an artist can make a song, the more people will know about its existence. Radio play does not guarantee success (there are plenty of duds), but if a song connects, radio play can be, and is, a great tool. Hope this helps. |

Okay, gotta ask.....anyone else not recieve their FAULT magazine yet? 2 Weeks are up. Not sure I want to keep bugging them, but I definetly won't be buying the Summer issue, I probably won't get it until Winter, lol. YAY!!! I received my FAULT-magazine today! FIANLLY!!!  Okay.... so I'll add on a week for U.S. shippment, lol Thanx |

I noticed a tweet from someone today who just received theirs....perhaps all is not lost. No way to run a business....they might be lovely people and all that but DAYUM! edit/ Ooooooo I see betty just got hers!! ...yay! Well, it wasn't even the price I paid for it that I was worried about, I really want the magazine and the 2nd email I got was sounding more like they wanted me to just ask for a refund :( I'm like, "no, It's Adam Lambert" ;D |
