Also, can you please fill out their request page if you live anywhere near New England. Q3 has it on the front. Kiss 108fm is the 10th biggest station in the country. So need them to add it there. They did not add BTIKM. We need this one and Z100NY. NO NO NO NO -- PLEASE DO NOT PLAY THIS UNLESS YOU ARE LOCAL!! IT IS A WASTE OF TIME.
LOCAL REQUESTS ONLY FROM KISS108!!!! LOCAL PLAYS ONLY!!! ********** This is not the 10th largest station in the US -- Boston is the 10th largest market in the US. In the last Arbitron Rating 8.6% of the radio listeners in metro Boston listen to KISS108FM. The Boston media market is 4,012,500 people. The #1 market New York is 15,573,500 people -- and because it is a much larger market, 14 NY stations have more listeners than KISS108 including two Top40 Stations -- Z100 and WKTU (which is almost as big as Z100). 8 stations in LA are larger. ETC. ETC. ********* If you want to help Adam -- local requests plus a few very important items on page one. Jeez!!!!!! Sorry you felt it necessary to scold me with the "No, No, No". I had I guess errounously assumed only people from the area would do it. >:( I assumed it was a no-brainer. Yes, I know it's the market. I put station instead. Jeez....slap my hand.

Adam is in a very high stress period of his career. So many things that are happening have two sides to them. For example -- he will be performing with Queen. An amazing opportunity for him and delightful to many of his fans. I know he will be brilliant. But I also know that he will not be perfect and that everyone will not like his take on this music. I choose to focus on the positive. On the brilliant parts of what is happening for Adam. I am not delusional and I know that many things are important to building a successful music career -- but there is not one path to success -- there are many paths. *** Look at the airplay. Adam and RCA are going to have to work to move NCOE up the chart. There is no magic check that can be written to get a song on the radio -- and many of the backdoor ways around the laws have been closed down. Adam is battling against a lot of established Top 40 artists. I choose to focus on the great spins NCOE got last night and I have faith in this song and RCA promo and Adam. But if NCOE does not breakthrough on radio -- what happens that is so bad? Nothing. Adam will have another single. Yes, request. Yes, vote. But then take a deep breath and have some fun. The only thing I worry about is that fans will start to get discouraged and burn out --- and we have a lot of more important things to do in the near term. Like get NCOE to #1 on VH1 once released there. His big supporters in the past, like NY, Philly, Boston are not jumping on the bandwagon. BTIKM did not do well, seems like NCOE is stalling becasue the big supporters are not there. Maybe BTIKM turned them away and as a result, they are now not giving the push to NCOE. You say he will get another single. He may, but radio will need to play it. If the big past supporters are not on board, then a third single will also go nowhere, right?

Just wondering - can anyone tell me how pictures are chosen to go with mag or newspaper articles? The good article today in the Daily Mail (UK) has a photo of Adam in full GNT top hat and make up - which I feel is a little bit unfortunate as his intro to this country, especially considering how amazing he has been looking lately. Does his management have a choice or have to give approval? Not dissing the shaman look (too much) just that it's not really him 'now.' Would really like to know how these things are done... As far as I know, unless there's a specific deal ahead of time, newspapers and magazines pick the the photos for whatever agenda they're trying to push in their article. IMO, the Daily Mail article is about Adam stepping in for Freddie - who was a consummate showman often known for outrageous costumes. So they pick a costumed pic of Adam. I don't think a "Hey, here's a damn good-looking dude" pic would have been the best choice. Pretty boys are a dime a dozen, and (sorry) Freddie was no looker. The meme here is "here's a young showman filling in for our legendary showman", and they picked the appropriate visuals for that theme.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KOSH and SETARCH!!I won't go over to PH's site and was wondering if he ever mentioned Adam's historic #1 on the Billboard and Digital charts and posted his NCEO video? If he has ignored this then he is ignoring a great milestone for his community and doing it a disservice.

Anjalee,
Have a wonderful mini-vacation and know that your meaningful insights will be missed........
Every time I read your beautiful words from India I think of my son who has been a volunteer in Nepal since January. Somehow imagining your world makes me feel closer to him.....Thanks!

Actually, I thought it was a call for everyone to request and view so I think the clarification was good Perhaps it was not such a no brainer for everyone. Seems like there might be a bit of stress and anxiety these days. Feel like things are in the middle of a precariously balanced see-saw between the awesome events and the radio paradox. So I am going to try to understand that and not be too reactive. It is a good exercise!

Hi all! Since it's a little slower today, thought I'd give some thoughts about the album. I have finally been able to listen to it all the way through a few times without interruption, etc. My 9-year-old daughter (who is not really an Adam fan mainly because of my stanning) said to me yesterday as we were listening in the car: "Mom, this is a really good album. I like all of these songs." I was so HAPPY! I finally have an ally here with me. I have to say that I agree with her. I've been cleaning the house today to the album (*waves at Cassie*) and it is just so much fun. I totally cranked up Naked Love and could not be still! Trespassing is awesome too, as is Shady, Cuckoo, etc. I LOVE how he frontloaded the album with the dancey stuff--it really works for me.
Also, I agree that Naked Love will be a great single, as would Kickin In, which is currently my daughter's favorite next to NCOE. Kickin In is just different enough that it might appeal to the groups that have made Gotye and some others popular lately. Also, the theme of the song, and the fact that he sings "she" in it, could also make it hit (I can totally hear this playing on an episode of Grey's Anatomy as the women docs are partying in the bar they frequent--yes, I watch this silly drama, I admit it!).
Anyway, what I am trying to say is that this album is truly AMAZING! Not a stinker song in the bunch to me--I have favorites, but nothing I really skip. Even Broken English (which was my least favorite originally) has really grown on me--now I love it, too! I love Outlaws of Love, Underneath, Chokehold (which also seems like a radio song to me) and Runnin (my daughter love this too!).
I am happy for Adam, but also for us. I love this album and can just play it over and over again. That voice IS intoxicating. I am feeling that this is a great era for Adam. I'm excited for what's to come for him and us!

Pretty much every relevant station in New York EXCEPT Z100 has started spinning NCOE, which is why Adam's audience impression (AI) scores are so high for his relative position. Boston had more than enough spins to add last week. I'm hoping the holiday weekend is the muckup. As for Philly?? Damned if I know. I'm eyerolling in their general direction. But the HAC spins are increasing at a contant rate of about 11 a day and the Top40 figures appear to be increasing as well even if we can't see the detailed figures well yet. The rest of the Numbers are on the Numbers Thread. ETA: BTW - so nice to meet you at Freshtival! :D
