He’s super stoked that Britney Spears and Demi Lovato are new judges on X Factor. “It’s going to be cool for people to get to know Britney again,” Adam says. Having been on American Idol, Adam realizes what a great opportunity these shows give to up and coming artists like One Direction. “It’s a hard business to break into, so any chance we get is great.” Watch what else Adam had to say in the clip below.

When he auditioned for an American production of the Queen jukebox musical We Will Rock You, Adam says, "I prepared songs like I Want To Break Free; I did my homework. Now I'm looking forward to spending time with (bandmembers) Brian (May) and Roger (Taylor). I want to make myself familiar with their more obscure songs and hear some stories from the guys themselves. I'll get my own personal Queen documentary." Adam will front Queen for five shows in July: one in Russia, one in Poland and three at London's HMV Apollo Hammersmith.

Lambert is fronting Queen for a number of shows this summer and he spoke to the Daily Mail about their late singer Freddie Mercury. The newspaper suggested similarities between the two singers due to their open sexuality, but Lambert hinted that Mercury might have had it easier as a performer. He said he feels pop these days has now moved from being more camp to being more focused on the “macho” aspect of image. Lambert said:

Jeez!!!!!! Sorry you felt it necessary to scold me with the "No, No, No". I had I guess errounously assumed only people from the area would do it. >:( I assumed it was a no-brainer. Yes, I know it's the market. I put station instead. Jeez....slap my hand. Actually, I thought it was a call for everyone to request and view so I think the clarification was good Perhaps it was not such a no brainer for everyone. Seems like there might be a bit of stress and anxiety these days. Feel like things are in the middle of a precariously balanced see-saw between the awesome events and the radio paradox. So I am going to try to understand that and not be too reactive. It is a good exercise!Yeah...it's a seesaw but I'm looking at it positively....radio will play NCOE and and they'll catch up with the rest of the world...it will happen!

Okay, sat here and made my radio requests -- national and local -- voted in the open polls. I really don't want to give the stations an excuse to not be playing NCOE.

vitamindaily.com/blog/%5Buser%5D/being-1It feels good to be Adam Lambert right now. His new album, Trespassing, slammed into the #1 slot in both Canada and the U.S. last week. He's hitting his stride, while wearing some bloody killer shirts. I feel swooning over Adam Lambert is completely justified. Sure, ladies, he'll never sleep with you, but he'll also never let you down. I followed Adam for a day in the life photo project, and found he truly has a limitless capacity for graciousness. He runs from event to event and just never quits. He will always sign one more autograph, he's always laughing, and he will always answer your question - even if it's offensive, and he's been asked it 497 times before. So for those reasons alone, I think he deserves your time. But, incidentally, the new album is killer. During an autograph session I started jamming to the music in the background, asked the publicist what was playing (like a tool), and it was (of course) his new album. So I legitimately, bias-free, really dug it. For an insight into our day together, here are some of my favourite shots:

Just wondering - can anyone tell me how pictures are chosen to go with mag or newspaper articles? The good article today in the Daily Mail (UK) has a photo of Adam in full GNT top hat and make up - which I feel is a little bit unfortunate as his intro to this country, especially considering how amazing he has been looking lately. Does his management have a choice or have to give approval? Not dissing the shaman look (too much) just that it's not really him 'now.' Would really like to know how these things are done... As far as I know, unless there's a specific deal ahead of time, newspapers and magazines pick the the photos for whatever agenda they're trying to push in their article. IMO, the Daily Mail article is about Adam stepping in for Freddie - who was a consummate showman often known for outrageous costumes. So they pick a costumed pic of Adam. I don't think a "Hey, here's a damn good-looking dude" pic would have been the best choice. Pretty boys are a dime a dozen, and (sorry) Freddie was no looker. The meme here is "here's a young showman filling in for our legendary showman", and they picked the appropriate visuals for that theme. Thanks, Hoppers - I can see that. (Don't know how this reply is going to look as I've never tried to link posts before - here goes.....) ETA: Yay - it worked!
