WKSC has been spinning NCOE. This was the Fantabuloso concert station. They decreased to overnights for a bit, but in the past couple weeks having been giving the song at least 1 daytime spin. Thanks!! I just realized I have them on my list and they added -- DUH!!! Long day at the book mines today -- that is like the salt mines but on a University campus. The other two are REAL new spinners!!! |

What Q3 said, "but I also think this album will have a long-tail and keep selling. And we know that Adam will keep working and promoting it." sums up my feeling about Trespassing. Sure, I'd be thrilled to see things progress much more aggressively and smoothly, hence sometimes the typical fan frustration, but the reality is like any other artists that haven't quite firmly established on radio/sales, Adam is gonna have to jump through all the hoops and hurdles to get the ball rolling. And, I think he's 120% aware of the challenge (and the BS : ), imagine his inner frustration?! and he's said that patience is definitely not his virtue.
Sales are decreasing across the board in the "downtime", though at different scale for different level of artists. I believe in the long term prospect of Trespassing, and I believe in Adam! That's all.
Oh, very happy and pleasantly surprised to see NCOE MV beating out Biebs at #1! YAY!!! ;D
ETA: one more squeee for 10 adds today!!!

Olly Murs song has been a really big hit in Germany and UK and it might not be the best song, but it is catchy as hell. It might be payola, but it might also be real demand, I don't know.
YAY! Boston and Q102 finally added and the CHR spins are today up to 147! If I remember correctly yesterday it was 130, but it might have also been the number of the day before. I'm not sure, but nevertheless it is great! It is moving constantly into the right direction.

kittykay - As I recall B.M. was NOT a fan of Adam's during Idol and immediately afterwards. Everything he wrote about Adam had a negative spin so this article should be taken with a HUGE grain of salt. He was as much as calling him a failure at this early point. I think he changed his tune after he saw Adam live during GNT. He now writes more positively about Adam.

No one in the US has heard of the guy. I highly doubt it's driven by demand but more by politics. Adam himself has said in many interviews that radio play is all about politics. I can't believe people are quoting Brian Mansfield! Lol. I stopped going there ages ago. His music knowledge is so limited. He even admits it himself. His opinion on anything outside of his wheelhouse is about as valuable as asking the postman his opinion on the music industry. |
