World wide includes the US. Well I have to say that's not great for Madonna..LOl 1.3 million?! I'd take that for Trespassing! |

Me too, I was kidding., I think I read that Madonna got those numbers by giving cds away with bought concert tickets for her shows. This was counted as sales. Am I correct? need a refresher. I would love that and more for Adam..It's been a slow go. |

Madonna almost went gold the first week. Her core fanbase did that though. Problem is she had the largest single week drop in sales in Billboard history the second week. This past week she dropped out of the BB Top 200 cause her singles just haven't taken off on radio. Album has only been out for 2 1/2 months so that's not good considering she's...Madonna. Not to mention, word got around that her album just wasn't that good. But she'll more than make up for it on her tour. People will go to see her just to go see her cause she puts on such an elaborate show.
ETA: I just checked one of my local CHR station websites, it's a Cumulus station. There was a notice on the site that all Cumulus stations are migrating over to the IHeartRadio app for third party streaming. Does anyone know what's up with that? I thought IHeartRadio was strictly Clear Channel. Q3?

It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure the concert ticket buyers had the choice of purchasing the CD separately when they bought the tickets. I am surprised that 1.3 million is all Madonna has sold WORLDWIDE! How many CDs has she sold in the US? Of course, she is still raking in the big bucks on her tour. She is playing to stadiums, right? |

In today's news I posted the Billboard story. Adam said very specifically this album is either going to make or break him. We have got to be sure he is not broken!!!!I request, I vote, I do whatever, to make it all happen. Spins aren't enough yet !!!! If fans do not make NCOE succeed, I doubt there will be a third single that gets played on the radio in the US.
Since Adam's core fanbase is very passionate I'm pretty sure most of them us are voting, requesting and doing whatever we can to support NCOE. To the detriment of our personal lives (in my case anyway) LOL. But his fans can only do so much. There just aren't enough of us. At some point RCA/radio/casual fans will have to do the heavy lifting.
Imo the VH1 countdown will only do so much to help the song on radio. It's sort of a catch 22, same as sales/radio.
Are any global stats being posted here? I know they're often impossible to get but both Trespassing & NCOE are doing quite well in Japan which is the 2nd largest music market in the world. #3 overall Japan iTunes:

Originally, I was sure that the non success (can't call #17 a failure) of BTIKM would not effect stations playing or adding NCOE. But now, in HAC, I'm not so sure. |

Fans having been "working" this single all spring. The label has been working, Adam has been working. Frankly, I've kind of lost my enthusiasm at the moment. At some point the song has to make a connection with casual fans. And it's not really doing that, whether it's the fault of radio for not spinning enough to give it a chance or it's the song itself, who knows? And it doesn't really matter since it's out of our hands anyway.
I do hope the label/management/US publicist is looking at alternate strategies for the US. I don't know that radio is the route to go for a third single. (I am talking about effort, energy, resources from the label concentrated here; obviously it would be sent to radio) At some point, putting out singles that aren't making it becomes counterproductive for the artist.
