I check the Rick Dees countdown every week. www.rick.com/show/hot-adult-06-09-2012NCOE is currently #38. I put in an email request for NCOE but am wondering how he makes up his countdown. His top 20 countdown is on my local radio station each Saturday morning and he says it's song that listeners voted for. His countdown does not appear to be the same as the normal HAC list. The top songs are way behind in that they topped the CHR charts sometimes a year earlier. WWFM was #1 or 2 for weeks in the summer of 2010. I'm wondering if anyone knows any more about how to vote for songs on his chart.

Looks like we won't be getting updates on #51-200 anymore. This is from Pulse: ETA: While Soundscan is sales, not radio charts, the admins of this board feel that the mediabase 51-200 chart also falls under the "copyrighted material" status.

Here's the thing I don't really get. If you are requesting from your local stations daily, and maybe a few other national ones like Philly and Sirius and the links in the opening posts it takes about five minutes a day. An email or tweet once a week to OHP or SNOL adds seconds.
If you want to multi-vote many many times for the Philly 10 @ 10, or play the Chicago takeover at night, or multi-vote daily for Adam's Oaward it can take longer, but multivoting for those is optional and it appears that the fandom is doing pretty well with them. I join in when I can, and spread the word, but feel it's all in good hands when I have other priorities.
So how can fans be getting burnt out from requesting two weeks from the add date, especially now when every day new stations are testing spins?
I also agree that requests and votes are just one part of the radio picture, so it shouldn't be overstated, fans can't 'make' any station play. But since they are the one part where we have a little bit of agency, I'm happy to jump in locally and add my daily pebble to the pile of requests.
ETA: adamuse, I don't know how to vote for Rick Dees aside from email requests with the information they ask for. But they did spin BTIKM occasionally, so I email away.

rabbitrabbit, I understand the burn out. We've been requesting since January, non stop, not from the adds date of NCOE. And when we see the results so slow, it is easy, IMO, to understand why people get burnt out and discouraged. And seeing some of the big spinners decreasing by large amounts adds to the burn out. Just my opinion.

I have no intention of slowing down but I admit to burnout and the fact that the most upbeat positive person here admits to it too makes me feel less lonely.

For me watching new stations spin balances out focusing on other stations slowing (plus just knowing that it's kind of inevitable that there will be slows and starts and there's nothing we can do about it except request more). But maybe we need a Jack Aubrey type in fandom or something: 'Hold fast me hearties! The race is not given to the swift but to those who endure to the end! Huzzah!' ;D

rihannsu, how are you getting the i-Tunes numbers all the way into the 800s? I have stopped looking since that link stopped working.Would you share your link? Thanks! The Live Pop Bars site suddenly started getting tracks all the way to 1000+ recently. This is the link for the tracks and you can choose USA then Overall or Pop. www.livepopbars.com/lpb1024.php?Region=143441&Chart=34There is a link at the top for Albums/Videos but that still only gives top 100 so I've been just opening the iTunes program to get the overall album position since it is out of the top 100.

I know! Sorry! I try to stay positive but at times I feel mentally spent. True, it only takes a few minutes to do my requests each day (except for the 10 at 10) but I think about it way more than those physical 5 minutes. Yesterday, with all the flailing over the Kiev ads and the RAH videos and the UK reception he is getting, I tried to tell myself "radio doesn't matter because Adam is different and has so many options." But then I remember how much radio matters to him. Have I stopped requesting or voting? Hell, "NO!" Am I burnt out, "Yes!" :-/

Maybe some happy news are needed? Seems like Sirius CHR started spinning NCOE today. Hang in there, its important to support ncoe right now when its close to breaking top50 on CHR.
