Oh dear ... with Adam's sense of geography (where's Belfast again?) I think I'd be afraid if he had to remember which city he was in!!! ;D LOL They could always write the name of the city they were in on the top of the setlist in big red letters! I don't remember him getting the city names wrong. It's just that he doesn't know what country he's in.

Because when he motions to the sound guy, it is because he is not hearing things right. It's not something he can let go, just because it's a short set. Then he is the one artist who has sound issues during most of his songs at almost every show he does. It is unusual. I thought the band and the back up singers were fine today. It was a short set for charity and Adam looked and sounded great. I don't care who is backing Adam up, just so they sound decent. Adam being Adam wants perfection.. I love him for that. It's a good thing he can't play all kinds of instruments.. Can you imagine,He would be the singer, conductor and instrumentalists. He hears what he wants in his head and that's what he wants to produce. Can you just imagine how he is with his own vocals. I remember his vocal coach saying that Adam wanted to know everything about how his voice made certain sounds. He is an artist ,with his own vision and wants the colors on the canvas to express what he is feeling. LOVE THIS MAN.. His talent has no measure.. only the tip of the iceberg IMHO Coming from NY and growing up with theater all my life.. I find Adam totally impressive,I could nitpick about one thing or another.. but who am I to judge this incredible artist. He makes me feel things I haven't felt by any other singer .. to me that's what's important.

Dead thread but since the "banter" topic is here I wanted to get my .02 in. I was very impressed with his banter in Wilkes Barre. He was relaxed and funny. I remember thinking how much different it was from the GNT shows. Sometimes banter is appropriate and sometimes it isn't.

His banter was wonderful in Wilkes Barre....funny, off the cuff...perfect for the situation. (not a formal tour, audience full of glamberts). Although like others, I'm starting to find the scripted quips rather endearing.

[grins] If it we me (with my admittedly crappy memory), I'd have the name of the city discreetly written on the inside of my arm, where the edge of the jacket hit. Then I'd do my arm pump and say "THANK YOU {sneak peek at eye-level note} ROCHESTER!!!

Just because some fans notice a pattern and hope that Adam can find some type of resolution to his never ending issues that frustrate him doesn't mean we don't want him to paint with all the color of the wind. It doesn't mean I don't LOVE THIS MAN or that I don't believe he has talent to the moon and stars and around the moon and the universe...... Seriously, it's a simple observation. Adam has continually had problems and issues with the sound no matter what venue he is in. For his sake, I hope he finds the perfect person at some point in his career.

That sound person would have to be Adam.. can you see him changing hats constantly.. singer , song writer .guitarist, stage hand, sound engineer, photographer. Adam has the vision for all of it&no one else can be in his head...Cloning would help.. LOL
