I am feeling old right now. Does any one else remember the days when radio stations would play a song off a record that was requested? Course those were the days when they had vinyl and did actually spin a disc. And I don't think they were the "pop" stations. Gah i miss those times. Maybe some of these "less than intelligent" folks are just stuck in a time warp. Both "Tom Dooley" by the Kingston Trio and "The Sound of Silence" by Simon and Garfunkel became hits because DJs on local stations (Salt Lake City for "Tom Dooley" and "The Sound of Silence" in Boston and a couple of towns in Florida) liked the songs and played them off the albums. That would never happen today, and it's a shame, I think. Radio is so programmed that you hear lousy songs fifty times a day while great songs are left hiding in the shadows. OMG! Now we are talking ancient history. Out of curiosity, I looked up Tom Dooley by the Kingston Trio. It was a hit 54 years ago, in 1958. Just for fun, I decided to research what was a hit 54 years before I was an impressionable 15 years old, listening to the Beatles on the radio. Here's one I came up with: And this was the #1 record that year! How things once were in radio, what was once popular, how we wish things were again..... ah, folks, we are sounding like our grandmothers, here. Walking ten miles through a blizzard to get to school, having a sum total of three dresses, each of which was worn for a week and then laundered by hand. Top 40 radio is what it is, today. Pop music is what it is. Probably no better or worse than it was when we were young. Just different. Adam and his management are navigating today's musical taste and promotion as best they can. Adam is doing what he loves. He has plenty of dimmers by now. He'll never again be the tall guy in the funny hat at the back of the stage singing in the chorus. To me, it's all good.

With what is being played on Top40 right now, anything goes. You get a range of sounds. i feel Running would fit right in, but Kickin in would be a hell of a lot better.
I was on the Trespassing, Cuckoo, Naked Love train (still LOVE them) but I am seriously going crazy right now for Kickin' In. Every since I saw his performance in Wilkes Barre! MAGIC!
