I believe I read just the opposite about JessieJ she had a hard time in England . Clive Davis heard her here and was impressed.. the rest is kind of history I guess. Jessie J didn't have a hard time in England. Also before she became famous in the US when Justin Timberlake was asked who has the greatest voice in the pop world today he said Jessie J. JT is a big influence in the US. In addition to that she was invited to the US by B.O.B and they wrote together Price Tag along with Dr. Luke and Claude Kelly. She knew what she was doing. Major names in the US market . Not to mention that I believe she deserves it. For me she is the best female singer right now. I had it wrong, I don't know where I read that,but looked up Jessiej so my bad. I agree, I think she has a great voice and I think she's a gifted writer. She is the only pop singer ,other than Adam, that I have an album of.I was blown away by Jessie J the first time I heard her on YOUTUBE. I also loved Amy Winehouse,but never bought anything of hers.. |

Billboard magazine arranged a reader poll to elect the sexiest people in music business. Britney Spears and Adam Lambert won the poll. The pop stars took the first places ahead of Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Usher and Enrique Iglesias among others. Spears who just started as a judge in X-Factor got 45 per cent of the votes in 'the sexiest female in music business' category. Lady Gaga was second with 12% of the votes and Beyoncé was placed third (8%). Adam Lambert, known also as Finland's son-in-law, won the male category gathering 25% of all votes. His namesake Adan Levine came second (12%) and teen popper Justin Bieber placed third with ten per cent of the votes. (list of top ten in the vote) my mom just called to inform me that Adam is the sexiest man in music... ... and she heard these news on the US Russian Language TV World News program ;D WORLD NEWS INDEED!  talking about exposure... ;D See, I think all of this is great. People talk about the poll as fan driven, and that is true, but everything is fan driven... Record sales, popularity, street credit... If you don't have fans, you dont have anything. People say polls like this are inconsequential in the big picture, but all of these things help to build his name recognition. Yes, it is on line, but some things start on line and then go viral, and people who are not on line end up hearing about them. You never know what it is going to be, so I vote for polls conducted by sites with name recognition. People talk about "battle fatigue," but as a fan, the no's just make me want to do more and vote more and rally. I make requests everywhere as well, but one doesn't preclude the other for me right now. It is my summer break, and I have time. Adam has been fighting for years. Game on! |
