We should tweet him that it is actually "telly" - rhymes with Gelly ;D ;D ;D What's that tweet about, please? I just woke up and really don't understand anything except our baby's discontent :-/ ??? Just found out Corrie won't be on the Tele this evening. I'm Gutted! Ame--taken straightforwardly, Adam is saying that he just found out that the popular, longrunning British soapopera (tv show), "Coronation Street," won't be on the TV tonight, and that he's disappointed. But really he's just making a joke by using lots of very English expressions: "Corrie" for "Coronation Street," "tele" (which should be spelled "telly," as abriton points out) for "television," and "gutted," which is a very English way of saying disappointed. He may be disappointed but mostly he's just funny! ;D I think he's enjoying his stay in London very much. |
